My top boys name ending in "s"

So I’ve narrowed it down for the boys names I like ending in “s” but have some hesitations!

[name]Magnus[/name] - a little “too” strong?
[name]Atticus[/name] - only good nn is [name]Ace[/name]
[name]Lucas[/name] - a little “too” soft?
[name]Barnabas[/name] - love the nickname [name]Baz[/name]
[name]Linus[/name] - kinda dorky because of Peanuts, but cool because of [name]Ocean[/name]'s 11…but no good nn…

I like [name]Magnus[/name] best from your list but I also like
[name]Jonas[/name]
[name]Silas[/name]
[name]Miles[/name]
[name]Justis[/name]

Dividing them up between classics and “other”
[name]James[/name]
[name]Louis[/name]
[name]Charles[/name]

[name]Dennis[/name]
[name]Titus[/name]
[name]Amos[/name]
[name]Marcus[/name]
[name]Demetrius[/name]
[name]Carlos[/name]
[name]Moses[/name]

Interesting choices. [name]Magnus[/name] does seem a little too something – although I’m not sure what. For the most part, this seems a list of no nickname names, so if you are big on nns, you might want to look further. I’d never thought of [name]Baz[/name], but I like it hugely. If I picked [name]Barnabas[/name], I’d worry somehow, somewhere it would turn into [name]Barney[/name], which is completely out for me because of a (rather endearing) big purple dinosaur. But if you could steadily steer toward [name]Baz[/name], all will be well. I hadn’t thought of [name]Ace[/name] for [name]Atticus[/name]. Good one. I don’t think [name]Lucas[/name] is “soft,” but he might get a lot of “[name]Luke[/name],” which is popular. I’ve never thought of a nn for [name]Linus[/name], but you seem clever at this. There is that blanket, but I think people are eying this name and will eventually break down and use it. Once they do, it will become a human, not a cartoon, name once again.

I like [name]Silas[/name] personally.

What about the Irish name [name]Tevis[/name]?
(The first syllable has a soft ‘e’ sound, like the first syllable of the name [name]Kevin[/name]).

As for boy names ending in the letter ‘s’, I also like:
[name]Cassius[/name] (pronounced [name]Cash[/name]-us)… which would give a natural nickname of ‘[name]Cash[/name]’.

Also, [name]Rhys[/name], (pronounced [name]Reese[/name]).

I have always loved [name]Angus[/name]. [name]Fergus[/name] is cool too. If you are intent on having a nickname, you could use [name]Gus[/name] with either of them.

[name]Andreas[/name] “[name]Ace[/name]” is my favorite -s ending boys name. Others: [name]Mattias[/name], [name]Silas[/name], [name]Julius[/name], and [name]Lucius[/name]. Off your list I like [name]Linus[/name] the best.
