I love [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] as well! I’ve always disliked the sound of [name_f]Gretchen[/name_f]. Makes me think of retching.

Uh, minority here. I vote [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Gretchen[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and I always adore [name_f]Gretchen[/name_f] since the first time I heard about it.

Big fan of [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] (particularly if you’re American bc it still sounds exotic over here, vice the UK). But not a big fan of [name_f]Gretchen[/name_f]. I can never help but think of “retch” whenever I hear it. [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] are both pretty and girly so I don’t really see how [name_f]Gretchen[/name_f] fits… I like many of the other old-fashioned “G” names – like [name_f]Gwenyth[/name_f] and [name_f]Greta[/name_f] – much better. [name_m]Just[/name_m] my two cents. Good luck!

I’ve always disliked [name_f]Gretchen[/name_f] as well, it just doesn’t have a pleasant sound to my ears. I love both [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] as names - if it was [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] and [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] I’d have really struggled - but as it stands, [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is by far my preference.

I think I prefer [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. But it feels a bit cut off.
Something like [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] would really spark my interest. Or [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Gretchen[/name_f] nn [name_f]Lucy[/name_f].
(Apparently I’m having [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] issues today.)

As a first name, I prefer [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. It has more depth and history behind it.

As a combo, I think [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] flows better. [name_f]Gretchen[/name_f] is so harsh and drags [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] down.
