I’m torn between [name]Casimir[/name] [name]Antony[/name] [name]Herne[/name] and [name]Orpheus[/name] Brage Lorien, they’re both an incredibly handsome bunch of names. I can’t choose between them, I’ve tried but I simply can’t. With [name]Aphrodite[/name], I like the matching ph-sounds in [name]Aphrodite[/name] and [name]Orpheus[/name], but I think that the sound of [name]Aphrodite[/name] and [name]Casimir[/name] is absolutely wonderful.

I’ve decided I like [name]Orpheus[/name] best with [name]Aphrodite[/name] and for you in general. As with the girls, one name per post.
For [name]Casimir[/name], I get more of an open, bare fields. But I still get adventurer, traveler, cloak in the wind, wrapped around his face for the dust of his horse. [name]Endymion[/name] is my second favorite with [name]Aphrodite[/name]. The sounds go so well together. I actually get water with [name]Endymion[/name]. It’s still winter and cold, but the lake isn’t frozen in my picture. Instead, he’s in a little boat out there stretched out watching the snow fall, maybe ice fishing with his cabin all lit up with lamp light on the shore. Yep. She’s 6 weeks. The nurse told me if she didn’t want to wake up and eat I didn’t need to force her. She said “If she’s hungry she’ll wake you up” And since I’m feeding her a lot during the day and she’s already 11.06 pounds, I think it’s fine. I give her a full 6 ounces at 9 and she’ll sleep like a log until about 6ish. It’s been going on for about a week. :slight_smile: She’s also lifting her head and chest really well and can get her lower body halfway flipped over. I give her tons of tummy time :stuck_out_tongue:

Starting this by saying that I don’t particularly like [name]Romulus[/name] as I think of [name]Star[/name] Trek first cause I’m a nerd, but once I move past that, I think of the myth and like it a tiny bit. I do get the same sort of imagery as you but also with [name]Remus[/name], which I like better.
[name]Romulus[/name] for me, after [name]Star[/name] Trek, isn’t a forest, but more of a mountain valley. He’s wearing animal pelts and with a dirt streak on his face. I also see him with gray eyes. Otter, yay for rock-operas! Isn’t it great? All coolness of [name]Orpheus[/name] is in it. And, unfortunately, I haven’t seen that musical. That’s a pity because I am a theatre fan. [name]Will[/name] google it while Nellster is asleep.
But, really, I came back with a few combos again. I was lying with [name]Nell[/name] and re-thinking your list. [name]Casimir[/name] [name]Antony[/name] [name]Tyr[/name] came to mind. If I remember right, [name]Tyr[/name] is Norse god of war and even though you are trying to avoid major Gods, isn’t he cool? [name]Even[/name] if you don’t like this, I think [name]Casimir[/name] [name]Antony[/name] is great regardless which name you put in the second middle slot.
To end up with own ideas, I also thought of Bedivere(Bedwyr), [name]Taliesin[/name](or Taliesen? A son of [name]Ceridwen[/name] and Welsh bard?) and [name]Janus[/name](even though you are due in Feb, what can be better for a winter babe?).
Something like [name]Oberon[/name] Bedivere [name]Herne[/name] or [name]Endymion[/name] [name]Janus[/name] [name]Peter[/name] would be cool. Sorry if I was silly or odd(you obviously have enough names) but these just popped into my head. :wink:

I find your descriptions of names very intriguing! When I imagine a name, I most likely imagine someone I know with the name. For example, [name]Lily[/name] is the sweet tomboy in my daughters class who loves rugby. [name]Amy[/name] is my dear friend who adores reading and organic coffee. [name]Tom[/name] is my elderly neighbour, an absolute gent.

Your names are very unusual, some I’ve never even unheard of, yet you can come up with the most vivid imagery, its truly beautiful. I find it intriguing I guess because I can’t imagine things like fur capes and pet wolves coming to mind when I imagine certain names, those things are so far from the society we live in that they simply don’t occur to me. Your imagery is beautiful and so interesting!

Awesome top 5!
In order, first names only, my favorites are:

  1. [name]Endymion[/name]- This is such a magical name. It might be locking you in to a bit of a mythological theme, but if that doesn’t bother you this would be an incredible choice. In many ways, I think this name in the same way I like the name [name]Emrys[/name]. To me, they both seem like the name of someone kind and gentle, strong and creative. Perhaps a bit quiet, but very intelligent and when he speaks his words are potent.
  2. [name]Oberon[/name]- This would actually be my favorite when paired up with Aph, as it has a kind of vibe that fits really nice with her name. [name]Oberon[/name] sounds strong like a bear and outgoing, the name of a leader.
  3. [name]Casimir[/name]- This name has grown on me a lot, and I think it would be work great for you. It’s not a name for everyone, but you are one of the few people that could easily pull it off. It feels romantic and royal. The name of someone who can do everything. I still think it sounds a bit too much like cashmere, but I think that’s an association that’d I’d get over if I ever met someone with this name. I think it’d be a great choice.
  4. [name]Orpheus[/name]- The top 3 are definitely my favorite three. This one is a further away fourth choice for me. Sounds too 'matrix’y for me. The ‘Orph’ sound is also not my favorite.
  5. [name]Romulus[/name]- This sounds too 'star-trek’y for me (where there’s an alien race called the Romunlans).

The combo of [name]Endymion[/name] [name]Lucius[/name] [name]Rainier[/name] is absolutely stunning. There is not another combo in the mix that even comes close to this one for me. That’s almost naming perfection as far as I’m concerned. [name]Oberon[/name]'s combo you have is mama-huhu (in Chinese means ‘horse horse- tiger tiger’, aka so-so) for me, [name]Sigurd[/name] and [name]Gawain[/name] are not my favorites.
