I love mythology names. What are some of your favourites and why? Is there any possible danger behind using them? (I’d use it as the first mn)
I absolutely love mythology so there’s quite a few names that come to mind. Some of my favourites that I know have ties to mythology include: [name_m]Alexander[/name_m], [name_f]Althea[/name_f], [name_f]Aphrodite[/name_f], [name_m]Apollo[/name_m], [name_m]Aries[/name_m], [name_u]Artemis[/name_u], [name_f]Astraea[/name_f], [name_f]Athena[/name_f], [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], [name_u]Calypso[/name_u], [name_f]Camilla[/name_f], [name_m]Caspar[/name_m], [name_f]Circe[/name_f], [name_f]Cora[/name_f], [name_m]Cupid[/name_m], [name_f]Cynthia[/name_f], [name_f]Daphne[/name_f], [name_f]Delia[/name_f], [name_u]Dylan[/name_u], [name_u]Echo[/name_u], [name_f]Electra[/name_f], Europa, [name_m]Evander[/name_m], [name_f]Fauna[/name_f], [name_u]Finn[/name_u], [name_f]Flora[/name_f], [name_f]Freya[/name_f], [name_u]Gemini[/name_u], [name_f]Hera[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f], [name_m]Jasper[/name_m], [name_m]Jupiter[/name_m], [name_u]Kay[/name_u], Kleio, [name_f]Luna[/name_f], [name_f]Maia[/name_f], [name_u]Mars[/name_u], Medusa, [name_f]Mina[/name_f], [name_f]Nala[/name_f], [name_f]Nina[/name_f], [name_u]Paris[/name_u], [name_f]Persephone[/name_f], [name_m]Perseus[/name_m], [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], [name_m]Pluto[/name_m], [name_m]Poseidon[/name_m], [name_f]Priya[/name_f], [name_u]Puck[/name_u], [name_m]Saturn[/name_m], [name_f]Selena[/name_f], [name_f]Thalia[/name_f], [name_f]Theia[/name_f], [name_f]Venus[/name_f], [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f], [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u], [name_f]Ziva[/name_f].
Most of them are just names that I purely love the sound of while others are more swayed by the gods/goddesses that they’re associated with. I think the only “danger” with using some of these names are they might be a little out there for other people. There are some on this list that I wouldn’t use because of that.
My daughter’s first name is from myth, but it’s one of the lesser known names. Not everyone “gets” the pronunciation, but it’s more of a po-tay-to po-tah-to kind of thing.
I love mythological names!
[name_f]Hera[/name_f], [name_f]Thea[/name_f], [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f], [name_f]Phaedra[/name_f], and [name_f]Nyx[/name_f] are my favorites.
My children all have names from mythology / legend
It’s nice to have a story behind a name or to be named after a legendary hero etc
