I chose [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]. I don’t think you have to worry too much about the spelling in the middle spot, [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f] is nice too. Personally I prefer the classic look of [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]. [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], it’s on our short list too
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] is absolutely gorgeous. I love [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f], [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]. [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] being my favorite.
[name_f]My[/name_f] favorites are [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]. [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is lovely, but with a 2 syllable last name sounds a bit choppy. I would go for 3+ syllables with [name_f]Rose[/name_f] ‘[name_u]Taylor[/name_u]’.
Does last name actually start with a T? If so, do you mind the multiple T sounds in [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Taylor[/name_u] and [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] [name_u]Taylor[/name_u]?
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you want to be able to say [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] with the middle name? Because for example, [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] nn [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] works, but [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] is not ideal going from ee to ee.
[name_m]Just[/name_m] trying to think of things to help you whittle in down… Good luck!
I love that you are considering [name_f]Rose[/name_f] as a first name! She doesn’t get enough first name love, always reduced to the middle spot
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] is just stunning and definitely my pick. In fact, I may have to add that combo to my own list if you don’t mind!
I like [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] too, but with [name_f]Rose[/name_f] it runs together (sounds like [name_f]Rosa[/name_f]-[name_f]Liza[/name_f]).
It is interesting that [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] is so well liked! Perhaps I will reconsider [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] as a MN for my [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] first name combo.
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] are also getting some love.
Thanks for the thought Emsky. I’m on it! I found a ‘try the name out’ page online where it does all sorts of combos with whole FN, MN, LN and various combos of whole names and initials. Our LN starts with Y- which can be very tricky with vowel MNs and consonant FNs.
You are so right about how the name completely changes when you go from [name_f]Rose[/name_f] to [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] with some of the MN choices like [name_f]Eliza[/name_f].
tfzolghadr - while I like [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] she will have a cousin (we are a SMALL family) called [name_f]Samantha[/name_f], which seems too Bewitched to me as a FN, but ‘do-able’ as a MN.
