Naleigh

I don’t know if anyone has posted this yet but probably not because I only just found the article on Yahoo. It’s there right now, but I’m not sure how long it’ll be up, so check it out!
Well, basically the article says that [name]Katherine[/name] Heigl and [name]Josh[/name] [name]Kelley[/name] are adopting a baby girl from Korea! The reason I’m posting (of course) is the baby’s name: Naleigh. I’m not sure about what the middle name is, and apparently the name’s not set in stone (she says they have to see whether the baby “is” a Naleigh. So, what do you all think about the name? Also, it has family significance: it is a compound name, made up of the names of [name]Katherine[/name]'s mother and sister ([name]Nancy[/name] and [name]Leigh[/name] respectively, [name]Leigh[/name] was also adopted from Korea. It says all this stuff in the article.)
I think the family part is sweet, but what about the name itself? Yes or no? I think it could get trendy, what with the -leigh ending and the exposure, though it is an invented name.
Apologies if anyone has already posted this!

I think the idea of honoring both family members is nice, but Naleigh has a tryndee, made up feel to it.

I like it, as it honors her family. However, alll I think about when I here “Naleigh” is One Tree [name]Hill[/name]… the ’ brangelina’nickname given to the shows popular couple, [name]Nathan[/name] & [name]Haley[/name].

Exactly…at least it does have some family significance.

I’m wondering if she ever thought about [name]Lena[/name] (pronounced lee-na) as a way to honor her sister, [name]Leigh[/name], and her mother, [name]Nancy[/name].

[name]Jill[/name], [name]Lena[/name] would have been so much better!!

Naleigh isn’t that bad. It’s a little awkward looking, I think, but it sounds familiar. I actually kind of like it.

I don’t know whose last name the baby will have, but Naleigh [name]Kelley[/name] definitely doesn’t have the best flow.

Thanks, [name]Annie[/name]. I love your name!

Phew! Relief everyone (who cares that is), the baby is actually named [name]Nancy[/name] [name]Leigh[/name] and Naleigh is just a nickname which, by the way, is pronounced Nally.

I kinda like the name because it does remind me of one of my faves : [name]Nell[/name].
It alson sounds fresh and sweet.I do prefer Naleigh to [name]Moxie[/name] CrimeFighter . :}

Good choice. Naleigh pr Nally is actually a really cute nickname, but I’m glad they went for the more traditional full names. Nice to see celebs being sensible about names for a change!

Its pronounced Nay-[name]Leigh[/name]… like Naleigh as in [name]Hayleigh[/name] or [name]Bailey[/name], not Nally like [name]Sally[/name].

You’re back from the hospital already? Didn’t you have triplets yesterday? Wow!

hahaha nooooooooo sorry Im ‘bebes’ sister, I was just reading some of these posts, and I saw the interview with [name]Katharine[/name] Heigl on [name]Ellen[/name], so I thought Id share my wisdom ;p

i think the name is very beautiful.

I think the pronunciation of it is just horrible…sounds like “nail”…otherwise, it would be a very nice name if pronounced like Nally, rhymes with [name]Halle[/name].

I would personally have pronounced it as Naah (aa as in art) lee.
