So we’ve been going 'round and 'round on baby girl names, and a name my husband and I both like is [name]Paige[/name].
First question: Our last name is [name]Moss[/name], which is also one syllable. [name]Do[/name] you think [name]Paige[/name] [name]Moss[/name] works, or is it an instance where one syllable first and last should be avoided?
Second question: Any ideas for a middle name? I’m really drawn to A names like [name]Alexandra[/name] and [name]Adeline[/name]. But then our daughter’s initials will be P.A.M. … not that there’s anything wrong with that, but I don’t want her nickname to become [name]Pam[/name]. Any thoughts on middle names (starting with A or otherwise!) are welcome and greatly appreciated!
You can’t be sure about the nickname thing. I knew a few girls who were called their initials, but a child ultimately chooses what they want to be called. The hole one syllable thing does sound a bit choppy and a larger first name may have a better flow. I do love [name]Adeline[/name] and you may also want to consider [name]Aleah[/name] or [name]Allessandra[/name].
I think [name]Paige[/name] [name]Moss[/name] sounds fine! Then again, my grandmother’s FN and MN were both one syllable, so I find myself attracted to the one-one syllable flow for girls. I actually really like the sound (and look!) of [name]Paige[/name] [name]Moss[/name].
As for MNs, I think [name]Paige[/name] [name]Adeline[/name] [name]Moss[/name] is absolutely adorable. I quite love it, actually. Then again, I also really love [name]Adeline[/name]!
I find myself attracted to girly, rich, in-style girls’ names paired with [name]Paige[/name]–like:
[name]Paige[/name] [name]Annabelle[/name] [name]Moss[/name] (or just [name]Paige[/name] [name]Annabel[/name] [name]Moss[/name])
[name]Paige[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] [name]Moss[/name] (although is PSM too close too PMS for comfort? I think it’d be okay, but maybe it’d bother some)
[name]Paige[/name] [name]Lucia[/name] [name]Moss[/name]
[name]Paige[/name] [name]Magdalena[/name] [name]Moss[/name]
[name]Paige[/name] [name]Ophelia[/name] [name]Moss[/name]
[name]Paige[/name] [name]Fiona[/name] [name]Moss[/name]
Is there someone you’d like to honor? Maybe that’d provide a nice MN option.
