Name advise for baby # 4

Hey everyone! I am new to post on here but have been coming to read your forums and name advice for years.
Recently my husband and I have decided to try for baby number 4. We have 3 other children named [name_u]Dylan[/name_u] [name_u]Lee[/name_u], [name_u]Riley[/name_u] [name_f]Angelique[/name_f], and [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] [name_u]Ryan[/name_u].

We have decided that if we are to have a boy his name will be either [name_m]Myles[/name_m] St. [name_f]Claire[/name_f] or [name_m]Callum[/name_m] St. [name_f]Claire[/name_f].

St. [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is a family name, all the of the middle names have been family names.

The hardest part for me recently is after pouring over names I have realized that all of our names have L’s they are two syllables and 5 letters and they all end differently. That was not intentional when we chose those names but it is a pattern and I feel most comfortable keeping with an L in the name.

Finding a Girls name is the most challenging, My mother recently passed away from breast cancer and I would like to honor her in some way.

Her name was [name_f]Deborah[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f].

Originally I wanted to stick with [name_f]Rose[/name_f] for a middle name but its so popular as a middle name it gives me pause.

Names I have come up with and loved but DH didn’t are:

[name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]

[name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]

[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] (DH thinks this one is too old lady)

[name_f]Olive[/name_f] being my favorite although I am worried people might and have used the popeye reference.

I have also thought of using [name_f]Deborah[/name_f] in the middle spot, but I am having a hard time with it.

Maybe something soft in the first spot? [name_f]Celine[/name_f] [name_f]Deborah[/name_f]?

We have also talked about using [name_f]Rose[/name_f] as a first name, I love it in the 1st name spot, but am worried about how different it is from the other names.

Any suggestions will be welcome! Also DH is extremely picky, he’s not a huge fan of frilly names, and all of the charming vintage name suggestions I have come up with he thinks are old lady.

[name_m]Hi[/name_m], congrats on trying for #4! [name_u]Love[/name_u] the boy names you’ve picked out, they go great with your other 3. I wouldn’t say you’ve started a pattern with the other 3, the factors you pointed out are just coincedences to me. When I ready their names no clear pattern jumped out at me. So I don’t think you really need to continue that if you don’t want to. But if you do want to that is fine!

I like the idea of putting [name_f]Deborah[/name_f] in the middle spot for you. Neither [name_f]Deborah[/name_f] or [name_f]Rose[/name_f] seem to really go with your other names. [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is very common as a middle name which might not really be a problem in itself but in this case it might overshadow the fact that [name_f]Rose[/name_f] would be an honor name for you.

I liked [name_f]Nola[/name_f] and [name_f]Calla[/name_f] the best from your suggestions but I have a feeling DH Won’t have the same reaction as I do.

Flowermae thanks for all the [name_f]Deborah[/name_f] combos! It helps me to see [name_f]Deborah[/name_f] as a real choice for the middle name spot!

My favorite was [name_f]Elise[/name_f] [name_f]Deborah[/name_f] , although DH and I know someone named [name_f]Elise[/name_f] I think [name_f]Annaliese[/name_f] [name_f]Deborah[/name_f] sounds beautiful! And your right we want to stay away from using the L as a first name choice.

But I’m not sure about the flow of [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] [name_f]Deborah[/name_f]. And we are missing the L. Not sure if it’s too different.

whitegardenia [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] is one of my favorite names! I had to do away with it because [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] was a mouth full lol. [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Deborah[/name_f] still feels a little R heavy. I do like the [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] spelling as well. And so far [name_f]Annaliese[/name_f] [name_f]Deborah[/name_f] is my favorite [name_f]Deborah[/name_f] combo.

Great! [name_f]Annaliese[/name_f] [name_f]Deborah[/name_f] is beautiful. The only hesitation I’d have about using that is the spelling confusion/variations for [name_f]Annaliese[/name_f]. All of your other kids have very straight forward names to spell. Some others you might like…

[name_f]Alyssa[/name_f] does sounds slightly dated but also is a friends name. I like [name_f]Alena[/name_f] and also was in love with [name_f]Elena[/name_f] for a while, but it’s a vampire diaries character and I’m not happy with the association.

Also DH just told me his sister’s middle name is [name_f]Annaliese[/name_f] and we can’t use it :frowning:
