Hello friends! I’m working on a story involving a pair of runaway noble kids. I’ve got names for the main characters (Cordelia Crowe and [name_m]Kristof[/name_m] “Kit” Barinov), but I’ve got an important side character who needs both a name and a physical description. So, I’d love suggestions for names and description ideas.
Here’s a bit more information on this kid. He used to be a member of a crew of smugglers whose main source of income was helping refugees get into the country, but he quit after a job went bad and he got shot. He’s charming and dangerously reckless, and he’s willing to do just about anything for the right price. The main characters return him to his roots in smuggling when they ask him to help them get out of the country, and while he tries to avoid the smuggling business nowadays, [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] and [name_u]Kit[/name_u] are very rich, so he agrees.
I’d share a few names or description ideas to give you a basic idea of what I’m looking for, but I honestly haven’t got anything. [name_m]Just[/name_m] share your favorite names or something you think would fit the details I gave. As for description, I’m mostly looking for a physical description, though if you’ve got any ideas for background/personality stuff, that’d be handy just for inspiration. Thanks!
Oh, here’s one thing I forgot! The time period is based loosely off the 1920s in general, and the location is vaaaaaguely inspired by the Netherlands. It’s all very loose though, so don’t worry about making a name fit into that time period and location–it’s just something to think about.
As for physical description, the first thing that came to mind was someone who’s lanky and tall, with a crooked, entirely fake smile. Dark hair and brown eyes. I picture him with only one eye for some reason.
Maybe he houses some bad memories regarding your world’s nobility for extra angst? That could make for some interesting dynamics between him and your main two? If he even knows who they are at all, don’t know what you plan to do. On the flip side, maybe he was a refugee himself and that’s why he joined the smuggling crew?

I usually choose names and descriptions that “go together,” usually when the aesthetic of the name fits the aesthetic of the character? I don’t know how to explain it well, but I would chose a different appearance for one of these names than I would for another.
