Name change for Avery

I really love the name [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and think it goes well with your boys.

Other suggestions:

[name_u]Ayden[/name_u], [name_m]Asher[/name_m] and…

[name_f]Adele[/name_f]
[name_f]Aubrie[/name_f]
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f]

Sorry! I commented before reading all of the posts, so came back to edit

I think Ava Olivia Rose is gorgeous! I also think Alivia could work… as you are already gravitating to it.

I’m going to be honest and say I would not use Alivia. But when I read that you call her Livy and her dad calls her Ali I was like, “well you’ve already named her then! She’s Alivia!”

I think the lack of votes for Alivia is because it sounds just like the very popular Olivia, but without the ease of spelling that popularity (often) confers. But Alivia has two things going for it that Olivia doesn’t: it starts with the letter you want, and it leads to the nickname, Ali, that one of her parents is already using. I’d say both are pretty strong points in its favor. And it goes great with Rose in the middle.

I personally would be more likely to use Ava, but part of why I recommended it to you was because it would be an easy transition from Avery. But if you’re mainly calling her Ali and Livy, on that case Alivia is the name that offers the most continuity.

You’ve said you cringe when you hear Avery, but how do you feel when you hear Ali, or say Livy? How does that compare to Ava? When you tell your daughter you love her, which name would you want to use?

Best of luck!

Thank you I appreciate it.

You could always use [name_f]Liv[/name_f] or [name_f]Livia[/name_f] as a middle name. [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Livia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] sounds pretty.

Great idea!

I think you should use [name_f]Alivia[/name_f] or Alivya if you really love it. I also love the idea of [name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. I think that’s beautiful, as is [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. Also, even though you’ve used A names with your other children, you don’t HAVE to use one for this daughter. Are you gonna have any more children? If you do, you might continue having a hard time finding A names you like.

[name_f]IMO[/name_f] it’s much better to have a name you love than to have a name that follows a pattern. [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is gorgeous, or just [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f].

I guess what I’m trying to say is… don’t constrict yourself and cut out names you truly love for the sake of getting an A name. When she’s 30, no one’s gonna even know she comes from an all A family (and probably well before that). Better to name her something you’ll love, that you think actually fits her, in my opinion.

I agree! I’m thinking we should just start over and include non a names now. I’m afraid i’ll never love a name. And this makes me so sad! She’s the most beautiful and happy baby that deserves a great name:)

I love Amelia Livia Rose, Alivia Mary Rose, Olivia Mary Rose, Anna-Livia Rose, Livia Alison Rose, Aurelia (something) Rose, or Livia Rosemary.

Don’t want to be that person but I remember reading when I was thinking of changing my daughter’s name how important it is for the baby to know its name. OK, I think they said by 6-12 months (and a name change after can be more problematic). Wishing you clarity - it’s not always easy but I think you have some beautiful options and I personally love the nn Livvy/Liv and Ali is sweet too. I think Alivia is lovely.

Other pretty non-A names (if it helps, I really think you’re calling her beautiful names already with Ali and Livvy):

Seraphina
Claudia
Josephine (Posey)
Violet
Sienna
Charlotte

THank you. I appreciate the suggestions.
