We have named our baby [name_f]Savannah[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Willow[/name_f], but I am having serious regret for not giving her a family name as a middle which is tradition in my family. Our son chose [name_f]Willow[/name_f], at the time of her birth; [name_f]Grace[/name_f] was just a name we loved. Your thoughts on:
[name_f]Savannah[/name_f] [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Willow[/name_f] (my great grandmother’s middle name + my son’s choice)
[name_f]Savannah[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] (my first name)
I feel I might be overthinking it, but regardless its important to me. Thanks all!
Both of your choices are lovely but if name flow is a concern I would go with [name_f]Savannah[/name_f] [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Willow[/name_f] because when [name_f]Savannah[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] is said, they run into each other a bit. What about [name_f]Savannah[/name_f] [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]?
[name_f]Savannah[/name_f] [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Willow[/name_f] is really lovely. I love the fact your son chose [name_f]Willow[/name_f] so I’d keep that and [name_f]Mary[/name_f] adds a nice classic vibe to the name and has the family value too
I would go with [name_f]Savannah[/name_f] [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Willow[/name_f]. Your son chose [name_f]Willow[/name_f], and not only is it a beautiful name, but they’ll have that special connection. [name_f]Mary[/name_f] and [name_f]Grace[/name_f] are very stylistically similar, so it doesn’t drastically alter the combo and feeling of the name to swap them out, but it adds the family connection you were looking for.
[name_f]Savannah[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] is a little rhymey, which may be a negative for some people, but personally, I think it’s beautiful. I think it’s more unique than [name_f]Savannah[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f], and more meaningful since it’s your name.
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Willow[/name_f], or is it just because your son chose it? I think if it means a lot to you AND your partner AND your son, keep [name_f]Willow[/name_f]. But if what you want is one first name and one family middle name, do that.
[name_f]Savannah[/name_f] [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Willow[/name_f] is lovely. [name_f]Savannah[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] doesn’t flow very well, it sounds quite repetitive.
I really love [name_f]Savannah[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Willow[/name_f], but [name_f]Savannah[/name_f] [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Willow[/name_f] is my favourite. It’s airy and soft, flows beautifully, and makes me think of a meadow.
I think [name_f]Savannah[/name_f] [name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] is perfect and you get to appeal to your husband not wanting [name_f]Mary[/name_f] and your son wanting [name_f]Willow[/name_f] as well. So win-win.
In my opinion [name_f]Willow[/name_f] is a family name because your son chose it! I think if you love [name_f]Savannah[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Willow[/name_f], you should keep it. Your son choosing [name_f]Willow[/name_f] is just a different spin on having a family name. If you want to change it though, I’d stick with two middle names because I personally really love more than one middle name!
I feel like [name_f]Willow[/name_f] is an honor name though because your son picked it for her and i think that’s so special. If you do decide to change [name_f]Grace[/name_f] I hope you keep [name_f]Willow[/name_f].
