Hello! I’m expected to notarize the circuit court petition tomorrow and I’m trying to finalize my decision on a name change!
My first name is “[name_u]Billy[/name_u]” and I’m officially changing it to “[name_m]William[/name_m]” because I have found that the name doesn’t age quite well into adulthood. I am also not very attached to the name as a family friend actually came up with the name (don’t ask why).
For the past few years, I have been going by “[name_m]Bill[/name_m]” and I wanted to move forward with changing my name officially to the expanded form “[name_m]William[/name_m]” and can still go by “[name_m]Bill[/name_m]” or “[name_m]Will[/name_m]” or “[name_m]Liam[/name_m]” as a nickname.
I have an ethnic middle name that is a single syllable and starts with Q and I’m not really happy about it either and would want to opt for a name I would love to be more identified with. What would be a suitable middle name to pair along with “[name_m]William[/name_m]”? Also, my last name is of ethnic origin, single syllable, and starts with a P.
