My newest name crush (well, RE-newest name crush, since I had loved this name for a while and then wasn’t sure if I would use it) is [name]Meredith[/name]. When I was a kid I remember thinking “who could ever like this name?” and then all of the sudden a few years ago I rediscovered it and fell in love. I love the NN potential of [name]Merry[/name] or [name]Edie[/name], and every [name]Meredith[/name] I’ve ever met has been adorable. Plus, it fits my requirement of not being too popular (it ranked 603) on the SSA list for 2010.
So, what do the berries think? I possibly like [name]Meredith[/name] [name]Jude[/name]/[name]June[/name] (after my grandmother [name]Judith[/name] & mom [name]Lynn[/name] [name]Marie[/name]… too much of a stretch?) or [name]Meredith[/name] [name]Sloane[/name] (because I’m also name-crushing on [name]Sloane[/name] but not sold on it as a fn for a girl) as combos. Does it go well with my other top choice for a girl, [name]Susannah[/name]? And if I do [name]Meredith[/name] and [name]Susannah[/name], am I stuck with long fns as a rule?
LN would be Hoagl@nd (sorry, SO is freaked about using our real name online).
[name]Meredith[/name] [name]Jude[/name] Hoagl@nd – occasional nn MJ?
[name]Meredith[/name] [name]June[/name] Hoagl@nd
[name]Meredith[/name] [name]Sloane[/name] Hoagl@nd
Any thoughts? I’m open to mn suggestions And what’s your newest name crush? [name]TIA[/name]!
[name]Meredith[/name] [name]June[/name] is my favorite. [name]Meredith[/name] [name]Jude[/name] and [name]Meredith[/name] [name]Sloane[/name] are too unisex for me to like them.
I like [name]Meredith[/name]! and [name]Meredith[/name] [name]June[/name] is my favorite. [name]Just[/name] an FYI, [name]Meredith[/name] and [name]Sloane[/name] are both popular characters in [name]Grey[/name]'s Anatomy and that was the first thing that popped in my head when I read that lol. It may not bother you, but I just thought I would mention it
I think [name]Meredith[/name] [name]June[/name] is lovely! [name]Even[/name] though one name is Welsh and the other Biblical, I quite like [name]Meredith[/name] and [name]Susannah[/name] as siblings. I don’t think choosing two names of three syllables should limit your choice to that number. A two syllable name would work just as well too! Personally, I try not to get hung up on syllable count as long as the difference is not too drastic. I concentrate more on whether sibling names look and sound “right” together. It’s more of a gut reaction for me. Also, the more you play around with names, combos and sibling sets, the better your “instinct” will become. Does that make any sense? Always remember that “rules” are made to be broken! Ha! Regards, [name]Mischa[/name].
