Lately I’ve been crushing on these two short and spunky T-names: [name]Tansy[/name] & [name]Tessie[/name].
I love how [name]Tansy[/name] is a floral name that isn’t so obvious, and is extremely underused.
I used [name]Tansy[/name] for a character in a short story when I was very young, so it’s a nostalgic love.
But can [name]Tansy[/name] stand on its own as a name? Is it too childish?
I love [name]Tessie[/name]. I think it’s so sweet and fun and packs a lot of punch.
I’m a fan of the more nicknamey names that are the trend in the UK right now, and I think [name]Tessie[/name] is just amazing. But I live in [name]California[/name]. Would [name]Tessie[/name] be strange among Americans?
I like [name]Tessa[/name], but not as much as I like [name]Tessie[/name] on its own. [name]Do[/name] you think [name]Tessie[/name] could be its own name, or is it too much of a nickname?
[name]Tansy[/name] is cute, a whole lot cuter than the similar sounding [name]Pansy[/name]. Out of the two I like [name]Tansy[/name] and think it would work with a little girl, but it could be too girly for an older woman. I don’t know. It is a cute name.
[name]Tessie[/name] just seems strange to me. I am okay with the nickname trend, but [name]Tessie[/name] just seems too much of a nickname and people would assume it is [name]Tessa[/name]. I like [name]Tessa[/name] a lot more with the nickname [name]Tess[/name]. I don’t know about [name]Tessie[/name]. Maybe as a middle name? Or just nickname her [name]Tessie[/name] and use [name]Tessa[/name] as a middle name. I think you can do that since [name]Tessa[/name] would be in her name.
I have a dd [name]Tess[/name] nn [name]Tessie[/name]. I wouldnt name her just [name]Tessie[/name]. Its cute when shes little, but [name]Tess[/name] is more substantial. In fact, my dd prefers “just [name]Tess[/name]” but she, likes [name]Tessie[/name] too. Its really cute when her little friends say [name]Tessie[/name].
[name]Tansy[/name] is one of my absolute favorites! As far as cutesy-level, I’d say it’s somewhere between [name]Lily[/name] and [name]Daisy[/name]. And since both of those are used all the time, I’d say no problem!
I like [name]Tessie[/name], but can you imagine a 40 year old doctor as [name]Tessie[/name]? I’d say go for just plain [name]Tess[/name] and call her [name]Tessie[/name].
I like [name]Tansy[/name] a lot!
[name]Tessie[/name] is cute, but I do prefer [name]Theresa[/name] or Contessa. Somehow [name]Tess[/name] or [name]Tessa[/name] feel more like they could stand alone than [name]Tessie[/name]. Byt I would never use [name]Hattie[/name] or [name]Lottie[/name] either, it’s just my taste.
Tesla could work too.
[name]Tansy[/name] is only okay for me. I think it’s beautiful but I think a lot of people will be confused, “like [name]Pansy[/name] with a T?” etc…
I’m in love with [name]Tess[/name] and [name]Tessa[/name] so I can understand the love for [name]Tessie[/name]. I think it’s cute and can transition to a very nice adult [name]Tess[/name].
[name]Tansy[/name] is lovely, and I can see this working quite well in real life. However, [name]Tessie[/name] isn’t great, it’s far too nicknamey. Could you imagine someone introducing themselves as [name]Tessie[/name] at the age of 35 or something like that? [name]Theresa[/name], [name]Tessa[/name] or [name]Tess[/name] seem better options, preferably the former.
I really like [name]Tansy[/name], it is really cute and to me actually sounds very elegant. [name]Tessie[/name] I wouldn’t use as a formal fn I would use [name]Tessa[/name]/[name]Tess[/name] and call her [name]Tessie[/name].
I think [name]Tansy[/name] is cute, though it’s not my style. I can’t really picture it on an older woman. It does sound a bit girlish but I think it could work for sure. I also prefer [name]Tessa[/name] over [name]Tessie[/name], but you could name her [name]Tessie[/name] and when she is older if she feels its too girlish she could go by [name]Tess[/name] instead.
