question: how you are you pronouncing [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]? I’ve always pronounced it as im-oh-geen (the “i” as in “pick”) and I really dislike how that sounds. However, I’ve found that many on here say it sort of like “emma-jen” or “imma-gin”…something like that…which I like a lot more.

Allegra: I love the meaning, and musical connection.
Lola: Short, sweet, bubbly and fun.
Sybil: One of my favourite names. It has so much personality and fire, I love how it sounds.
Imogen: A long time favourite, with loads of vintage charm.
Freya: Soft, gentle sound backed up with mythology that lends some strength to it.
Phoenix: My second favourite boys’ name! I love the imagery and mythology behind it.
Atticus: Really handsome and sophisticated, but enjoyable to say.
Darcy: It’s so, so nice and refreshing to see some love for Darcy on a boy, it’s so handsome, but adorable too!
I’m not sure where you live, but I’d check out the England/Wales list. I think your girls’ choices especially are very reminiscent of the names on there, particularly the top 500 or so.
And @namergirl3, I’ve only heard it as Im-uh-juhn or Im-uh-gin (I say the former). I agree it sounds way better than the -een ending!
@emmievis - I’m not 100% sure what nickname I like the best for [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]. I was thinking [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] or [name_f]Minnie[/name_f]. Thoughts?
