[name_m]Hi[/name_m] guys! So, I’ve just thought about this cool idea: A name discussing thread! I’ve actually never really seen one of these, and I thought that it would be nice to make one! Basically, what we do here is discuss any baby names! Ones that we like, dislike, or really anything! You can also post polls here! Please be nice and respectful to everybody here, and respect their names. You can critique someone’s names if they ask, but please do it nicely and respectfully. Thank you!

Thoughts on [name_f]Juno[/name_f] [name_f]Saoirse[/name_f]? I’ve got strong Irish heritage, hence [name_f]Saoirse[/name_f].

I’m trying to think of some full names for the nickname [name_u]Jem[/name_u] aside from [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m], [name_u]James[/name_u], or [name_m]Jeremy[/name_m] but I can’t think of any. :frowning:

@kasatka what about [name_m]Seamus[/name_m]? I love [name_m]Seamus[/name_m] with [name_u]Jess[/name_u] as a nickname, [name_u]Jem[/name_u] is not too far off! Or maybe [name_m]Jerome[/name_m]? [name_m]Geronimo[/name_m]? [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u]? [name_m]Jemiah[/name_m]? [name_u]Emmett[/name_u]? [name_u]Jerusalem[/name_u]? Gemelli?

My mom’s name is [name_f]Amy[/name_f] and I think the only other thing I’ve ever heard her called is Ameleh… Which is Yiddish nicknaming thing (as her family is Jewish). [name_m]Ames[/name_m] would work. When I was in [name_m]Little[/name_m] Women, we would call each other by backwards names, so we called our [name_f]Amy[/name_f] Yma (ee-mah).
