I thought up this name for a boy because I really love the name [name_u]Everett[/name_u], but I think the nickname Ezy would be cute for a boy named Ezerett. I would like to know some opinions on this name:)
Sorry but I don’t like it, it just sounds wrong to my ears, I think it’s because it reminds me of resurrect (I don’t think I can explain it better than that sorry). I do like [name_u]Everett[/name_u] and the nickname Ezy which could be used for [name_m]Ezra[/name_m], [name_m]Ezekiel[/name_m] and even [name_u]Everett[/name_u] if you wanted.
I think it would constantly be mispronounced as [name_u]Everett[/name_u]. Perhaps something like [name_u]Everett[/name_u] [name_m]Zane[/name_m] nn Ezy would work?
Honestly, it sounds like an attempt to feminize [name_m]Ezra[/name_m].
I like the suggestion of [name_u]Everett[/name_u] [name_m]Zane[/name_m] nickname Ezy.
I don’t like Ezerett, sorry. I do like [name_u]Everett[/name_u].
I love the name [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] nn Ezy. Another option could be [name_m]Ezekiel[/name_m], as lulu82 pointed out above.
[name_m]Don[/name_m]'t feel discouraged if you love Ezy though. Nicknames definitely do not have to come from a person’s first name. If you start calling little [name_u]Everett[/name_u] Ezy, he’ll go by Ezy (if he likes it), and other people will start calling him Ezy.
I am not a fan of made up names in general, but the sound of Ezerett doesn’t particularly bother me. I do think you’d have to correct a lot of people mispronouncing/mishearing it as [name_u]Everett[/name_u] and that would annoy me! My maiden name was hard to pronounce and I spent way too much of my childhood correcting people or helping people (teachers) pronounce it!
