I think it’s quite common to get name fatigue, especially when you’re pregnant and/or preparing for change - there are just other things taking up your energy & brain space! That, and there are so many choices these days - and we put so much more into naming as well, compared to, say, the Boomers who didn’t mind if there were going to be seven Sarahs, four Mchaels and three Emilys in the class! 
But again, I think no name can fully capture all our hopes and dreams for our kid, names naturally lose at least some of their shine due to familiarity, and naming is hard also because, in fact, there’s more than one “right” answer.
Would it help to share a few of the names you like, a few he likes, and see if we can come up with some possible midway names? Or to share your list and we can come up with some similar ones that might spark something? Or are you pretty sure the winner is on your list, you just don’t feel it now. I know I had to have a break from naming for a bit and decided to take a handful to the hospital and see. But admittedly, I was pretty sure a winner was on that list!
