I need a name for the little sister of [name_m]Liam[/name_m] [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] and [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] ([name_f]Ellie[/name_f]) [name_u]Nichole[/name_u]. We always use family names for middles, and the top contender this time is [name_f]Dolores[/name_f]. Here is my list so far…

So far, my favorite is [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]/[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], but DH is not sure. We’d like to stay away from H-, L- and E- names. Ideas and suggestions welcomed! Thanks!

So many great names! With your sib set, I like:

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u]
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]

The first names are great, but not with the middle name [name_f]Delores[/name_f]. [name_f]Delores[/name_f] is so old fashioned. I think a modern first name would freshen it up. Plus, your other daughter has an old fashioned first name with a modern middle.
I do think [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] is a bit too cutesy.
I think these sound nice and might be your style:

Too bad about avoiding H. From your list I like [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Delores[/name_f] the best, but [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] [name_f]Delores[/name_f] would be a bit more modern.

I appreciate all the input! Niteowl13, I think your names are headed in the right direction, but I’m still waiting to be grabbed by that “aha!” name. Any other names suggestions welcomed!

I like [name_f]Vera[/name_f] [name_f]Dolores[/name_f] best with your sibset. I also like [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], but the D makes it a little hard to say with [name_f]Dolores[/name_f].

I like [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Dolores[/name_f] with your sibset. I don’t think [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] and [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] is too much. Only their endings are the same.

I also think [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] is very sweet, but because [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] is such a formal name I would use [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] with [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] as a nickname.

I also think [name_f]Annalise[/name_f] nicknamed [name_f]Anna[/name_f] would be lovely, but [name_f]Annalise[/name_f] might be too close to [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] unless you plan to use their nicknames most of the time.

Other names that might fit: [name_f]Verity[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], [name_f]Thea[/name_f]

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Sylvia/name_f and I don’t think it’s too similar to your daughter’s name.

I have a daughter and two sons and I completely sympathize with the difficulty of feeling that “aha” moment the second time around. I LOVED my daughter’s name for years before she came along and my husband still loves our first son’s name above every other boy’s name. We really had a hard time falling in love with a name for our second son. We were still unsure even after he was born but he grew into it and now I can’t imagine him with any other name. I’m sure you will feel the same if not before she comes along then afterwards.
