My husband and I have a 13 month old named [name]Colin[/name] (not his original name, given after he didn’t look like his chosen name). We are expecting another little boy at the end of [name]August[/name] and have about 10 names. I want the names to go together, to be preppy, a little southern and strong! Please give us suggestions or feedback. I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Reed[/name], but my husband won’t bend even though he named [name]Colin[/name]. Help! Here they are:
[name]Reed[/name]
[name]Reid[/name]
Guerrant
[name]Beckett[/name]
[name]Garrett[/name]
[name]Reese[/name]
[name]Blane[/name]
[name]Worth[/name]
[name]Nolan[/name]
[name]Selby[/name]
[name]Reeve[/name]
Middle name will be [name]Edward[/name] or [name]Richardson[/name]
i’m in the same boat, due at the end of august and struggling to find a good boys name too. i really like reed/reid as well, that’s a strong name that isn’t too popular. i see a last name as first name trend in the names you like so what about…
Thank you! Those are terrific too! I love [name]Reed[/name] so much! I am hoping that when the baby comes and after all that labor he will just melt and let me name him [name]Reed[/name], since he named [name]Colin[/name]
[name]Reed[/name] is a very handsome name, too bad your DH won’t budge. I like [name]Beckett[/name] & [name]Brennan[/name] with [name]Colin[/name] some others I could see
I like [name]Reece[/name] and [name]Nolan[/name]. They are actually on my short list. My first sons name is [name]Tristan[/name] and I think that would go good with [name]Colin[/name].
[name]Reed[/name] [name]Edward[/name] is really handsome and sounds great with [name]Colin[/name]! Why doesn’t he like it? Out of your other names I think [name]Garret[/name] goes really well with [name]Colin[/name]. I like the similar name [name]Barrett[/name]. I also really like [name]Blane[/name]. Some other names I think would sound nice with [name]Colin[/name] are [name]Gabriel[/name], [name]Abram[/name], [name]Deacon[/name] and [name]Grant[/name].
I think [name]Rhys[/name] [name]Edward[/name] is perfect. [name]Rhys[/name] is the original Welsh spelling of the male name but said just like [name]Reese[/name]. I think it is much more masculine this spelling. I also think it’s nice since [name]Colin[/name] and [name]Rhys[/name] are both Celtic names. It’s cool, strong, unique and preppy.
WOW!!! What fantastic suggestions! Thank you all soooo sooo much! [name]Colin[/name]'s original name was [name]Reef[/name] since we are a beach, surf and sailing family. He was born on [name]St[/name]. Patties [name]Day[/name] and just did NOT look like a [name]Reef[/name]. He was rather serious and sophisticated. I know how can a baby be those characteristics, but he does. He always holds his hands and is such a gentleman. He cracks us up!
aww that is too cute!!! (reminds me of family ties with [name]Alex[/name]!)… not sure… IF you did pick [name]Cooper[/name] [name]Richardson[/name], you might fall into the having to name yours kids C names… not sure if that is an issue. i know that’s a concern for some people, but i personally think if you love the name do it!
You love [name]Reid[/name]/[name]Reed[/name] so name him that if it fits him. [name]Love[/name] [name]Reid[/name] spelling best. [name]Reid[/name] [name]Edward[/name] is very nice!
