I’m currently writing a story (tbh, I’ve been writing this story for almost seven years now) and I have always been fumbling with a particular character’s name.
In the novel, right from the beginning you know she’s passed. She’s the protagonists mother. She’s [name_m]French[/name_m], her parents were very proper people so perhaps a regal like name? However she’s very bohemian like herself so maybe a wacky/quirky nn? The protagonists name is [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f], if that helps.
[name_f]Do[/name_f] character visual help? If so here is a run-down;
[name_u]Red[/name_u] hair
Chubby face
Constantly smiling
[name_u]Green[/name_u] eyes
She has a very loose, colourful and patch work of Boho style.
Oh, sorry! I completely forgot to add them into the original post. The names I used before are [name_f]Bridgitte[/name_f] and [name_f]Arlette[/name_f].
[name_f]My[/name_f] first thought was [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]. Or maybe [name_f]Esme[/name_f], [name_f]Fleur[/name_f], [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f] or [name_f]Margot[/name_f]?
I really love [name_f]Delphine[/name_f]! Ancient history has a soft spot in my heart, especially Greek. However, the main male protagonist names starts with D and I’m really trying to stay away from same lettered/similar names for important characters.
