We’re having baby number 2 and won’t be finding out the gender so would like to take a girls and boys name to the hospital with us. We did this with our first son and he was a boy so we named him [name_u]Atlas[/name_u] [name_u]Jasper[/name_u].
We have 2 girls names we love… [name_f]Thea[/name_f] and [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] but we cannot really decide on a boys names as I feel like we used both the boys names we loved on my sons name
[name_f]My[/name_f] partner does really like the name [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u] and I do like it I just worry it’s so out there compared to [name_u]Atlas[/name_u] and people might have trouble spelling and saying it.
We want something that goes well with [name_u]Atlas[/name_u] like [name_f]Thea[/name_f] and [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] would. Popularity isn’t really a problem for us but we don’t want a super ‘traditional’ style name just because we want it to go with [name_u]Atlas[/name_u] which isn’t traditional. We also don’t want a name beginning with A as we might have a third and don’t want to be limited by A names. Thanks!
[name_u]Zephyr[/name_u] totally works. I think it wouldn’t be much of a problem with spelling.
I second [name_u]Orion[/name_u] for sure.

I actually think [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u] works great here! A cute A-Z relation!
A few middles for [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u]:
[name_u]Zephyr[/name_u] [name_u]Owen[/name_u] nn “Zo” or “Zozo”
[name_u]Zephyr[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] (a cute nod to [name_u]Jasper[/name_u] with the same beginning letter)
[name_u]Zephyr[/name_u] [name_u]Maxwell[/name_u] nn “ZMac”
A few other names I think might pair well with bro’s and potential sibs’ names:
I think [name_f]Thea[/name_f] + [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] sound beautiful with Atl@s this is a fantastic trio of names that feel well matched.
[name_u]Zephyr[/name_u] is a handsome name! He’s light and breezy and in my opinion not that challenging. I think he works with Atl@s a very handsome pair of brothers.
I think [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u] actually works really well with [name_u]Atlas[/name_u]! Funnily enough we had both atlas and [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u] on our list when naming our son so i think the two names do fit together.
Other ideas…

I second the suggestions of [name_u]Orion[/name_u], [name_u]Rio[/name_u], [name_u]Phoenix[/name_u], [name_m]Caspian[/name_m], [name_u]Wilder[/name_u], [name_u]Onyx[/name_u], and [name_u]Cruz[/name_u].
I love [name_u]Atlas[/name_u], and I love [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u]! I went to school for ever with a boy named [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u]. I don’t recall anyone mispronouncing it. I know I never did; I was used to it, and people in your son’s life would become so, too! Those names really fit together for brothers. So magical.

Re Zephyr, I don’t think it’s too out-there (though of course it’s an arty/intellectual name), my hesitation with the name is more on pronunciation. I think it’s nicer in rhotic English dialects where you get the strong R sound at the end (my mind otherwise goes to heifer with the first). I’d anyway, consider Zephyrus which I really like! There’s also Zephrin or Zephyrin (which I’d go for as an Australian where the finals R’s are dropped). It’s a cool name either way! Zeph is a fab nickname.
