I am due with my second son in [name_u]December[/name_u]. My first son’s name is [name_u]Owen[/name_u] [name_m]Henry[/name_m]. I tend to love short and simple names, but I’m worried about going with a nickname as a given name. Any suggestions for similar names or preferences from the list below? [name_f]TIA[/name_f]!
What about [name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u], [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_u]Theo[/name_u], or [name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_m]Graham[/name_m]?
Not a huge fan of [name_m]Nate[/name_m] or [name_m]Abe[/name_m] as first names without a full name, but I do really like [name_m]Graham[/name_m] or [name_m]Arthur[/name_m]! I think those two go best with [name_u]Owen[/name_u]'s name as well. I think you need a name that isn’t a well established nickname. Names that can stand on their own without people saying, “What’s his full name?”. Here are some suggestions, if you want them (all two syllables or less):
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_m]Graham[/name_m] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]! [name_m]Nate[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] is my second favorite if not for the whole [name_m]Nathan[/name_m]/[name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] nn.
I second the suggestion of [name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] or [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m].
I love [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] and [name_u]James[/name_u] as middle names, I think [name_u]Theo[/name_u] could stand as its own name. Some other short name ideas are (some repeats from previous posters):
[name_m]Eli[/name_m]
[name_u]Finn[/name_u]
[name_m]Heath[/name_m]
[name_m]Jack[/name_m]
[name_u]Jude[/name_u]
[name_m]Knox[/name_m]
[name_m]Liam[/name_m]
[name_m]Milo[/name_m]
[name_m]Nash[/name_m]
[name_u]Noah[/name_u]
[name_m]Rhett[/name_m]
[name_u]Rhys[/name_u]/[name_u]Reese[/name_u]/[name_u]Reece[/name_u]
[name_m]Silas[/name_m]
[name_m]Wiley[/name_m]
I love the name [name_m]Graham[/name_m], but when I said “[name_m]Graham[/name_m] [name_m]Cannon[/name_m]” aloud it kind of sounds like “Grand [name_u]Canyon[/name_u]” to me. Some names that might sound good with [name_u]Owen[/name_u] and with the last name:
