Name for baby boy!

I love my choices for girls names but I am really struggling with names for the boys! Seeing as we are keeping the sex of the baby a surprise, I have to work hard thinking of both!! The baby is the first for us, so we haven’t got to consider compatibility with existing siblings. Our surname is Watts.

Names we have considered so far:

[name]Wilfred[/name] nn [name]Fred[/name] to honour my grandad
[name]William[/name]

[name]How[/name] small is my list!! We like quite traditional names, don’t want anything that is currently ‘trendy’

[name]Wilfred[/name]: unfortunately this feels kind of weak and a bit too old fashioned to work at the moment. If you’re going for the [name]Fred[/name]/[name]Freddie[/name] nickname (I think [name]Freddie[/name] is super cute!) you could always go with [name]Frederick[/name] which is classic and strong, or [name]Alfred[/name], which has that old-but-cool feel.

[name]William[/name]: this is super classic, but very popular. It’s not trendy but it is currently the 5th most popular name in the nation, so there are lots of [name]Wills[/name] and [name]Williams[/name] running around. If that doesn’t bother you this is a classic name that you can’t go wrong with.
