I love [name_u]Shea[/name_u], that is my absolute favorite!

Second for me is [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] and third [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], both of which I really like.

Personally, I don’t like either [name_f]Zara[/name_f] or [name_f]Aria[/name_f] - they make me think of a warrior super hero in a sci-fi movie or something, just not my style. [name_f]Aria[/name_f] also makes me think “area”.

I think [name_f]Aria[/name_f] and [name_f]Zara[/name_f] are pretty, girly names that remind me of calm rivers and raindrops on leaves after a storm.

Absolutely [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] or [name_u]Sloane[/name_u]. Both are so lovely. [name_f]Zara[/name_f] is nice too. I’ve never been a fan of [name_f]Aria[/name_f] (which I seem to hear of all the time lately) or [name_u]Shea[/name_u] (I don’t care for the sound of it), but those are just my preferences. Congratulations on your soon-arriving daughter!

Thanks Everyone! I think [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] then [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] are my favorites. [name_f]Zara[/name_f] is my husbands current fav but I am worried about having to correct people on the pronunciation all the time.

I would pronounce it ZAHR-a, if that helps. [name_f]Aria[/name_f] has a similar sound, and I think more people are familiar with it so you could always go with that. [name_f]Aria[/name_f] is beautiful =]

[name_f]Zara[/name_f] is really the only one that’s my style. I’m not a fan of unisex names, so [name_u]Sloan/name_u and [name_u]Shea[/name_u] aren’t my cup of tea, and though I adore most [name_u]Ari[/name_u]- names (or names that could yield [name_u]Ari[/name_u], like [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] or [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f]), there’s something about [name_f]Aria[/name_f] that I don’t find appealing, personally. I do love [name_f]Zara[/name_f], though, and think she’s fantastic! [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] is also very sweet, and I’ve loved her in the past, but as the years have gone on, I’ve liked [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] less and less. It is a very cute, spunky, and sweet name, though. I guess I would rank them [name_f]Zara[/name_f], [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], and then [name_f]Aria[/name_f] (although I personally prefer [name_f]Ariana[/name_f]/[name_f]Arianne[/name_f]).

That would be the way I would say it as well. But I think in a small community where that will not be a known name it will be pronounced like [name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_f]Tara[/name_f] most of the time.
