Name for baby number four!

[name_m]Hi[/name_m], I’m pregnant with a baby girl. My husband and I can’t seem to agree on a name. He likes common and I like uncommon, given our last name. We have three other kids, two girls and a boy. Our daughters are [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] and Esmé [name_u]Harper[/name_u]. Our son is named [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_u]Michael[/name_u].
This is our list of names that we like for baby number four so far:
[name_f]Aria[/name_f]
[name_u]Bryn[/name_u]
[name_f]Cleo[/name_f]
[name_f]Cora[/name_f]
[name_f]Fern[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwen[/name_f]

[name_f]Lila[/name_f]
[name_f]Luci[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
[name_u]Noel[/name_u]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f]
[name_f]Sade[/name_f] (pronounced like [name_f]Sadie[/name_f])
[name_u]Sage[/name_u]
[name_f]Sara[/name_f]
[name_u]Shae[/name_u]
[name_u]Shay[/name_u]
[name_u]Skye[/name_u]
[name_f]Tess[/name_f]
[name_f]Vera[/name_f]
[name_u]Wren[/name_u]

Suggestions are welcome. We would like for the name to be four letters long.
Thanks in advance - [name_f]Clo[/name_f]é and [name_m]Harry[/name_m]

I absolutely love you kids’ names (we have very similar style), and to finish your set, I really like [name_u]Sage[/name_u], [name_f]Tess[/name_f], and [name_u]Wren[/name_u]. Some other options to go with [name_f]Ayla[/name_f], [name_f]Esme[/name_f], and [name_u]Jude[/name_u] are:
[name_f]Avia[/name_f]
[name_f]Brie[/name_f]
[name_f]Cami[/name_f]
[name_f]Demi[/name_f]
[name_f]Eira[/name_f] (EYE-rah)
[name_f]Elle[/name_f]
[name_f]Evie[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Kyra[/name_f] (said like [name_f]Kiera[/name_f])
[name_f]Lola[/name_f]
[name_f]Lumi[/name_f]
[name_f]Luna[/name_f]
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f]
[name_f]Macy[/name_f]
[name_f]Maia[/name_f]
[name_f]Mila[/name_f]
[name_f]Mira[/name_f]
[name_f]Nell[/name_f]
[name_f]Neve[/name_f]
[name_f]Nova[/name_f]
[name_u]Remi[/name_u]
[name_f]Rhea[/name_f]
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u]
[name_f]Thea[/name_f]
[name_f]Tori[/name_f]
[name_u]Vega[/name_u]
[name_f]Zara[/name_f]

[name_f]Ayla[/name_f], Esmé, [name_u]Jude[/name_u] and [name_f]Fern[/name_f] are perfect imo!

I also like
[name_f]Gwen[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
[name_f]Tess[/name_f] (my second fave)

These are my thoughts on the names you’ve suggested to fit your sibset of [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f], [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_u]Harper[/name_u] and [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_u]Michael[/name_u] (all lovely names btw :D)

[name_f]Aria[/name_f] -I don’t think you should repeat initials as you haven’t done so already. It’s a minor concern and aside from the initial thing [name_f]Aria[/name_f] is a beautiful name. But the initials would be a problem for me. Also, [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] and [name_f]Aria[/name_f] are generally quite similar, possibly too similar?

[name_u]Bryn[/name_u] -This seems to me quite a masculine name that doesn’t really fit the quite feminine vibe of [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] and [name_f]Esme[/name_f].

[name_f]Cleo[/name_f] -[name_f]Cleo[/name_f] is cute, and has great meaning and history. I also think it sounds great with your other kids names, especially because of the lack of repeated ending sound it would create in the sibset.

[name_f]Cora[/name_f] -I like [name_f]Cora[/name_f] as a name, but it’s becoming rather popular. also, I don’t love teh fact that it ends in the same sound as [name_f]Ayla[/name_f].

[name_f]Fern[/name_f] -A lovely and rather underused nature name in my opinion.

[name_f]Gwen[/name_f]-I like [name_f]Gwen[/name_f], but it feels as though it out to be short for another name like [name_f]Gwenyth[/name_f], and doesn’t work as a stand alone for me.

[name_u]Gwyn[/name_u]-As above, but I much prefer this name spelt with an ‘E’.

[name_u]Hali[/name_u] -I don’t like this at all, and I don’t think it really fits with the refined ambiance of your other children’s names.

[name_f]Hana[/name_f] -This feels again like it’s being condensed just to make the four letter pattern. This child would also have years of pronunciation and spelling problems ahead of her when people try to spell it as ‘[name_f]Hannah[/name_f]’ or ‘[name_f]Hanna[/name_f]’.

[name_f]Lena[/name_f] -Not sure if it’s pronunced ‘[name_u]Lee[/name_u]-na’ or ‘Leh-na’, though both are lovely. A beautiful name, though it has the same ending sound as [name_f]Ayla[/name_f], and is possibly a little too simialr in overall sound for my liking.

[name_f]Lila[/name_f]-This name would get confusing. Is it like [name_f]Layla[/name_f], or [name_f]Lyla[/name_f], or [name_f]Leela[/name_f]. It also feels to me personally as though it lacks substance, and doesn’t feel as strong as your other names.

[name_f]Luci[/name_f] -A lovely classic name, though I hate this spelling, and speeling [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] with an ‘i’ could potentially cause spelling issues later in life.

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]-Beautiful, and strong, and fits really well into your sibset.

[name_u]Noel[/name_u] -For me, this spelling is very masculine. I would spell the female [name_f]Noelle[/name_f]. Not a huge fan.

[name_f]Nora[/name_f] -A name that I love very much, but I don’t think it matches so well with [name_f]Ayla[/name_f].

[name_f]Sade[/name_f]-My instinct is to pronounce this as though it rhymes with ‘blade’. Telling people to pronounce it like [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] is going to be an awful lot of hassle, and I don’t think it would really be worth it.

[name_u]Sage[/name_u]-A nice nature name with a good word meaning too. A lovely unusual choice that matches well.

[name_f]Sara[/name_f] -The ending sound is once again causing me trouble. This is another four letter, ending in -a name which unfortunately just sound too similar to [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] for me.

[name_u]Shae[/name_u]-Not a fan at all, its far too brusque and masculine for me and doesn’t match the delicate nature of your other girls’ names.

[name_u]Shay[/name_u]-As above

[name_u]Skye[/name_u]-Completely personal, but I really don’t like this name spelt with the -e on the end. Otherwise lovely.

[name_f]Tess[/name_f]-[name_u]Love[/name_u] love love this name! So pretty and works well with the others.

[name_f]Vera[/name_f] -I like the name, I don’t like the ending.

[name_u]Wren[/name_u]-Very pretty and sounds nice with the others. I wonder if it’s a little unconventional and stylisticly not s compatible with your other names. Maybe a good middle name?

Overall, my favourites for you are [name_f]Cleo[/name_f], [name_f]Fern[/name_f], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_u]Sage[/name_u] and [name_f]Tess[/name_f]. For me, these names are beautiful, have different ending sounds to your existing children’s names and fit with the style of your sibset. I hope some of this feedback helps!

[name_u]Love[/name_u] your kids’ names! My favorites with [name_f]Ayla[/name_f], [name_f]Esme[/name_f], and [name_u]Jude[/name_u] are:

[name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Hana[/name_f] [name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u]

[name_f]Lovely[/name_f] list! I especially like [name_f]Vera[/name_f], [name_f]Aria[/name_f], [name_f]Hana[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f].

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_f]Nora[/name_f] and [name_f]Tess[/name_f] are my favorites, all gorgeous names. I wish my DH would go for [name_f]Tess[/name_f]/[name_f]Tessa[/name_f]!

[name_f]Cleo[/name_f] -think [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] sounds fabulous
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] - may not be unusual but sounds so ‘distinguished’ -I love it
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] - not my first choice but a name I really love.

You have a great sibset and a good list so you’ll make a fantastic choice whatever you decide to go with here. I would pick a name that ends in different sound and doesn’t start with the same first letter. From your list then, my favorites are [name_f]Cleo[/name_f], [name_f]Fern[/name_f], [name_f]Gwen[/name_f], [name_f]Luci[/name_f]/y, [name_u]Skye[/name_u], and [name_f]Tess[/name_f].

Some other names you might like:

[name_f]Ayla[/name_f], [name_f]Esme[/name_f], [name_u]Jude[/name_u], and

[name_f]Bess[/name_f]
[name_f]Beth[/name_f]
[name_f]Gail[/name_f]
[name_f]Hope[/name_f]
[name_f]Inez[/name_f]/[name_f]Ines[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_u]Lane[/name_u]
[name_f]Lark[/name_f]
[name_f]Lois[/name_f]
[name_f]Maud[/name_f]
[name_f]Nell[/name_f]
[name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u]
[name_f]Ruth[/name_f]
[name_u]Vale[/name_u]

We have similar taste when it comes to girls’ names! I love [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] and [name_f]Nora[/name_f]! I think [name_u]Wren[/name_u] would be a great middle name to go with something two syllables or longer.

I actually think [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] would be a really nice combo, and sounds great when said together as one name. It’s different, but legitimate.

I like [name_f]Ayla[/name_f], [name_f]Esme[/name_f], [name_u]Jude[/name_u], and [name_u]Wren[/name_u]!

[name_f]Caia[/name_f]
[name_f]Meera[/name_f]
[name_f]Rilla[/name_f]
[name_f]Victoria[/name_f]
[name_u]River[/name_u]
[name_f]Fern[/name_f]
[name_f]Annabeth[/name_f]

I like [name_f]Cleo[/name_f], [name_u]Wren[/name_u], and [name_f]Lena[/name_f] with your girls.

[name_m]Just[/name_m] want to say that [name_f]Sade[/name_f] is a well-known name pronounced “shar-[name_u]DAY[/name_u]” or “shah-[name_u]DAY[/name_u]” (and occasionally “SAYD” like it rhymes with ‘made’) and it will be difficult to pull off “[name_f]Sadie[/name_f]” without a lot of confusion and error.
