Name for Finn

[name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I recently found out we were expecting, so of course I’m already looking at names!

I absolutely love the nickname [name_u]Finn[/name_u], I think it’s so handsome for a boy and my husband likes it as well. We want to give him a full name so that way he has the opportunity to go by his full name when he’s older.

I love the name [name_m]Finnick[/name_m], but since I’ve only ever heard it from a Hunger Games character it makes me concerned to use it because it’s too “fiction”. So what names do you think of to give the nickname [name_u]Finn[/name_u]?

Middle name options would be one of these:
[name_m]Isaac[/name_m]
[name_u]Leland[/name_u]
[name_u]Douglas[/name_u]
[name_u]Ray[/name_u]
[name_m]Franklin[/name_m]
[name_m]Forrest[/name_m]

Thanks in advance!

Griffin
[name_m]Fintan[/name_m]
[name_m]Finbar[/name_m]
[name_u]Finch[/name_u]
[name_m]Serafin[/name_m]

I guess I should’ve added that our last name rhymes with [name_u]Finley[/name_u], so we would probably stay away from that one.

I was going to suggest [name_m]Findlay[/name_m] or [name_u]Finley[/name_u], but if your surname rhymes with that, I think [name_m]Finnian[/name_m] is my next favourite. [name_m]Finnian[/name_m] would work with a lot of your middle name options - maybe not [name_m]Franklin[/name_m] because they might be too similar, but all of the others work!

Totally second finnian

I have a friend who has named her son [name_u]Finn[/name_u] (as a complete name) and I like it. Short, sweet and very [name_m]Huckleberry[/name_m]

Finnick is finicky so avoid that.

Griffin and [name_m]Finian[/name_m] / [name_m]Finnian[/name_m] from others.

Phineas
Rufinus

I like [name_m]Finnian[/name_m] and [name_u]Finley[/name_u] for [name_u]Finn[/name_u]!

Finley [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] would be great

I love @jonquils suggestion of [name_m]Franklin[/name_m] nn [name_u]Finn[/name_u], and I also really like [name_m]Finnick[/name_m]. It is a bit “fiction”, I suppose, but I really like the sound of it and it strikes me as very down to earth, not too “fantasy” sounding.

I know a little [name_m]Finnbar[/name_m] and love that. I also know a [name_m]Fintan[/name_m], which is pretty cool. And [name_u]Griffin[/name_u], [name_m]Finnian[/name_m] and [name_m]Phineas[/name_m] are ace!

I haven’t seen [name_m]Finlo[/name_m] suggested, I don’t think? It’s a Manx name, very rare but feels very straightforward and very fashionable in terms of sound.

I also love [name_u]Finn[/name_u] on its own!

[name_m]Finnian[/name_m] is my favorite longer form! [name_m]Finnian[/name_m] [name_u]Douglas[/name_u] would be wonderful!

Finnegan
[name_u]Finnley[/name_u] / [name_u]Finley[/name_u]
[name_m]Finnian[/name_m] / [name_m]Finian[/name_m]
[name_u]Griffin[/name_u]
[name_m]Finnick[/name_m]

I love [name_m]Finnian[/name_m], [name_m]Finneas[/name_m]/Phineas, [name_m]Finbar[/name_m] and [name_m]Finnegan[/name_m].

I personally think [name_u]Finn[/name_u] is fine as a standalone, but [name_m]Finnick[/name_m] is totally a usable option. [name_m]Finnick[/name_m] [name_u]Douglas[/name_u] or [name_m]Finnick[/name_m] [name_u]Leland[/name_u] would be really handsome.

The afformentioned [name_m]Finnegan[/name_m], [name_u]Finlay[/name_u], [name_m]Finbar[/name_m], and [name_m]Finnian[/name_m] are all solid options too.

I especially like [name_m]Finnegan[/name_m]/Finnian [name_u]Douglas[/name_u], [name_u]Finlay[/name_u] [name_m]Isaac[/name_m], and [name_m]Finbar[/name_m] [name_u]Douglas[/name_u].

[name_m]Phineas[/name_m]/Fineas [name_u]Leland[/name_u] would also be lovely choice.

Phineas or [name_u]Finn[/name_u] by itself is so cute, theres no need to add anything else onto it

Finnick is my favorite [name_m]Fin[/name_m]- name! It just feels fun and spunky to me. All the other ones I can think of have already been suggested

I like the previous suggestions of [name_u]Griffin[/name_u]!

My nephew is just [name_u]Finn[/name_u], and it works fine. [name_f]My[/name_f] sister sometimes calls him [name_m]Finnegan[/name_m] as an affectionate name though so she’s said she wishes she’s had gone for that as his full name.

Finnegan [name_m]Isaac[/name_m]
[name_m]Finnian[/name_m] [name_m]Forrest[/name_m]
