[name]Hi[/name], I’ve browsed names and forums on this site for a while, but never felt compelled to make an account until very recently because I’m stuck on names for my daughter! We had a solid name choice picked out in case of a boy, but can’t make a decision on girl names. I’m just looking for opinions on our list:
Our favorites:
[name]Clementine[/name] (what sort of middle could go with this)
[name]Opal[/name] (middle?)
I like [name]Clementine[/name] with [name]Pearl[/name]. [name]Both[/name] names sound bright white to me. I like how clean it looks…I know I sound weird lol
I like [name]Opal[/name] best out of your favorites. Ithink I saw the suggestion of [name]Opal[/name] [name]Marigold[/name] in another thread and that has stuck with me. It sounds so bright and colorful and spritely.
[name]Luna[/name] and [name]Ophelia[/name] are also lovely. I’m not a big fan of the others although [name]Anouk[/name] has been growing on me. It’s just so close to Nanook which was my uncle’s dog’s name.
I think [name]Ophelia[/name] [name]Wren[/name] is very pretty.
I really like [name]Opal[/name] [name]Marigold[/name]! I also like [name]Clementine[/name] [name]Pearl[/name], but [name]Pearl[/name] is one of my friend’s dog’s name, so I couldn’t see myself ever using it! My husband just suggested [name]Clementine[/name] [name]Laura[/name], and I’m not sure if I like [name]Clementine[/name] with [name]Laura[/name], although I think [name]Laura[/name] is pretty enough on its own. I would just go ahead and use [name]Clementine[/name] [name]Opal[/name], but the initials spell out a word with the last name that weirds me out.
If you aren’t sure about [name]Laura[/name] how about a variant like [name]Lara[/name]? It’s a little sleeker and less “[name]Little[/name] House on the Prarie”
[name]Clementine[/name] [name]Opal[/name] is very pretty. What is your last initial, if you don’t mind my asking?
P. So the initials would spell “COP,” which isn’t ugly or bad at all, but I would feel weird having it monogrammed on things for her (as any name being spelled out would weird me out).
Have you considered switching it then? [name]Opal[/name] [name]Clementine[/name], instead of [name]Clementine[/name] [name]Opal[/name]? Then her intials would be OCP which doesn’t spell anything.
I like the suggestion of [name]Opal[/name] [name]Clementine[/name]. I also like [name]Ophelia[/name]. Maybe [name]Ophelia[/name] [name]Harriet[/name] or [name]Ophelia[/name] [name]Annabel[/name]?
With a one-syllable surname, I think you have a pretty wide open field for middle names. I think [name]Clementine[/name] and [name]Luna[/name] are my favorite on your list
Instead of [name]Annabel[/name], what about [name]Annalise[/name] ([name]Annaliese[/name])?
Also, have you thought about the middle name [name]Ivy[/name]? I think it’s a more modern, feminine take on [name]Edith[/name]. You could even use [name]Eve[/name], [name]Eva[/name], or [name]Edie[/name] which are all very underrated.
As for [name]Clementine[/name], have you thought of a suitable nn? It’s quite a mouthful and she may want to shorten it later on in life.
The one name you do have on your list that I cannot get enough of is [name]Luna[/name]. I hope in one way or another you are able to incorporate it. What about [name]Luna[/name] Ophélie? Ophélie being the lighter, French version of the otherwise melodramatic [name]Ophelia[/name].
Some other suggestions I have for you:
[name]Colette[/name]
[name]Nikita[/name]
[name]Loire[/name]
[name]Isla[/name]
Merlot
[name]Christienne[/name]
[name]Lenore[/name] ([name]Leonora[/name])
[name]Cecily[/name]
