After four miscarriages, and one pregnancy that went full-term and brought us our beloved [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m], the doctor confirmed that we won’t be able to have any more children.
Over six years later, I’m pregnant! (Cue all the emotions.)
Looking for suggestions for a girl’s name.
We’d like it to be:
Not that common, but easy to pronounce/spell (like [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m])
A bit feminine
And, ideally, sound good with the middle name “Hwin”
I liked [name_f]Katie[/name_f] Hwin, but [name_f]Katie[/name_f] is too common.
I love [name_f]Willa[/name_f], but I don’t know if [name_f]Willa[/name_f] Hwin is too heavy on alliteration…
I like [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] a lot! [name_f]Katie[/name_f] is very common in all of its different forms. I think that [name_f]Willa[/name_f] is sweet, & [name_f]Willa[/name_f] Hwim isn’t too bad.
[name_m]How[/name_m] exciting! I wouldn’t be too concerned about how well her name flows with the middle, Hwin, as after the birth announcement we seldom say our first and middle names together. [name_m]How[/name_m] does [name_f]Willa[/name_f] sound with the last name and if it flows nicely and it is the one you love the most, I hope you will feel confident in using it. More ideas, if you like…
If it bothers you how your favourite name flows with the middle maybe you would like to give her two middles to break it up. [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Katie[/name_f] Hwin or [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] Hwin would use both of the names on your list.
In My opinion if you love [name_f]Katie[/name_f] go with it. I think the surge of Katies is over and I am sure she will be the only one within 8 grades that has this name. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_u]Ellery[/name_u], [name_f]Tessa[/name_f], [name_f]Holly[/name_f] or [name_f]Kellie[/name_f]?
If [name_f]Katie[/name_f] feels too common, you could always use [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]/[name_f]Catalina[/name_f]/[name_f]Katia[/name_f]/[name_f]Katerina[/name_f] and use [name_f]Katie[/name_f] as a nickname. I don’t think [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] is long, but I don’t see it as a particularly short name, really, so I think any length name sounds fine with it.
Congratulations!!!
I like [name_f]Kate[/name_f] too, she could just be [name_f]Kate[/name_f], I think it makes less sense to lengthen one syllable names.
[name_f]Willa[/name_f] is good too!
A few ideas-
[name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Lila[/name_f]
[name_f]Leah[/name_f]
[name_f]Stella[/name_f]
