[name_m]Hi[/name_m] all! My husband and I are kinda digging the sound of [name_m]Levi[/name_m] for our little girl, but I would like it to be a nickname…the trouble is, I’m not sure what girl’s name could have [name_m]Levi[/name_m] as a nn. I was hoping the great minds here might be able to help us out!
[name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] (could probably spell it [name_f]Levinia[/name_f] if you really want to)
Levitica (twist on [name_m]Leviticus[/name_m])
[name_f]Lavinia[/name_f]
[name_f]Elvira[/name_f]
Lavenza
[name_f]Evelina[/name_f]
[name_f]Eveline[/name_f]
Or maybe something like [name_f]Leonie[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Elvira[/name_f], [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] [name_f]Verity[/name_f] etc
For the nickname [name_m]Levi[/name_m]:
- [name_f]Levana[/name_f]
- [name_f]Levia[/name_f]
- [name_f]Levana[/name_f]
- [name_f]Levina[/name_f]
- [name_u]Leva[/name_u]
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helped!
For the nickname [name_m]Levi[/name_m] what about:
- [name_f]Levana[/name_f]
- [name_f]Levana[/name_f]
- [name_f]Levia[/name_f]
- [name_u]Leva[/name_u]
- [name_f]Levina[/name_f]
- Leviara
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helped!
Could you just name her [name_m]Levi[/name_m]? I’m not necessarily the biggest advocate for traditional male names on girls (nor am I against it obviously) - I just think there’s more integrity to naming your kid what you want them to be called, as opposed to finding a loophole to get at a specific nickname.
‘’[name_m]Just[/name_m] [name_m]Levi[/name_m]‘’ gets my vote! Giving her a super feminine middle name to ‘‘fall back on’’ would have the same affect as naming her [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] nn [name_m]Levi[/name_m] for example, but with this you get to choose two names you love instead of a longer form you don’t necessarily like dictated by the nickname.
Thanks everyone!
- So “just” [name_m]Levi[/name_m] crossed my mind as well, but last name sounds like Fry so [name_m]Levi[/name_m] Fry is too rhyme-y for me. It makes me question using that nn at all, though, so it’s a fair point.
- [name_m]Leviticus[/name_m] as a name origin for our family is a hard no, but thank you for trying!
- [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] is a really nice name by itself but with the [name_m]Titus[/name_m] Andronicus reference, I can’t stomach the association. :’[
- [name_f]Levana[/name_f] is very lovely, and older than it sounds! Very cool!
I will think on some of the other great names here! Thanks folks!
You have lots of time so I agree with you that it is a good idea to think in it. [name_m]Levi[/name_m] Fry is rhymy or even leaning to cartoon-like, [name_f]IMO[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] and [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] in your signature.
[name_f]Leah[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]? [name_f]Lia[/name_f] [name_f]Violette[/name_f]? This makes sense to me.
I love [name_m]Levi[/name_m] as a nn.
I think [name_f]Lea[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] would be a perfect combo for [name_m]Levi[/name_m] and I also like the full name on it’s own
[name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] Vivienne “Fry” “[name_m]Levi[/name_m]” would super cute.
“LEVI”

My daughters best friend is a female [name_m]Levi[/name_m], with sisters [name_u]Keaton[/name_u] and [name_u]Channing[/name_u].
When it comes to [name_m]Levi[/name_m] as a boy’s name, I’ve always loved it as a nn for [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]. So for a girl, my first thoughts were [name_f]Olive[/name_f] and [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] nn [name_m]Levi[/name_m].
