I think you should go with your gut. If [name]Lily[/name] makes your heart flutter and makes you happy, that’s really all that should matter. While I think [name]Violet[/name] is lovely, I can’t help but hear Violent [name]Rain[/name] when I look at the name and I’m usually not a person who hears Violent when I see [name]Violet[/name].

[name]Lily[/name] [name]Rayne[/name] is my favorite.

[name]Violet[/name] [name]Rayne[/name] immediately makes me think of Purple [name]Rain[/name].

[name]Cadence[/name] is pretty, but even when I read it I said [name]Candace[/name] first.

I love [name]Lily[/name] [name]Rayne[/name]! It’s absolutely beautiful and you should go for it. [name]Violet[/name] [name]Rayne[/name] is a close second for me, but I would probably stay away from [name]Cadence[/name]. I think you will have issues with people saying [name]Candace[/name].

I voted for [name]Cadence[/name] before I read your post. If [name]Lily[/name] has your heart, go with [name]Lily[/name]!

I voted for [name]Lily[/name] before I even read your post. I love it!

“I only wanted to see you laughing in the [name]Violet[/name] [name]Rayne[/name]
[name]Violet[/name] [name]Rayne[/name] Viiiiolet [name]Rayne[/name]…”

[name]Lily[/name] [name]Rayne[/name] got my vote. Very springy.

I second bre’s concern - while my snap judgment preferred [name]Violet[/name] [name]Rayne[/name], when I said it aloud to myself I heard Violent [name]Rain[/name]. The more I think about it, the more I like [name]Lily[/name] [name]Rayne[/name] (and I’m not usually a [name]Lily[/name] fan).

[name]Don[/name]'t let popularity dissuade you from using the name you feel is right. A name becomes the child who wears it not the other way around - her sense of identity or uniqueness won’t be dependent on her being the only [name]Lily[/name] she ever socializes with. [name]Even[/name] if she meets one or two Lilys at school, I find that most girls are excited to meet others who share their name and bond over that - they’ll come up with more creative ways to distinguish one another than [name]Lily[/name] 1, [name]Lily[/name] 2…and [name]Lily[/name] [name]Rayne[/name] is really easy to say, so maybe she’ll go by first + middle name if it comes to that.

Popularity would be a defining factor, for ME. But, if you feel in your heart, and your mama instincts that [name]Lily[/name] is the right name, I say go for it! My [name]Oliver[/name] is gaining in popularity in the baby naming world, but it didn’t stop me. It was HIS name, and it suits him perfectly!

I agree - [name]Lily[/name] [name]Taylor[/name] is a great name! In addition to [name]Cadence[/name] potentially being misheard/misspelled, I also hear a lot of rhyme-y ness in [name]Cay[/name]-[name]Ray[/name]-[name]Tay[/name] syllables. [name]Lily[/name] is perfect and it sounds as though you already love it, so don’t talk yourself out of it!

It is tricky when your favorite name is more popular than you like. I don’t think [name]Violet[/name] [name]Rayne[/name] is a good idea as everyone else has stated. I’m not a fan of [name]Cadence[/name] it seems very dated to me, maybe because its similarity to [name]Candace[/name]. I think the biggest indicator is that you love [name]Lily[/name].

Thanks ladies  your opionions are really helping  i feel a little more affirmed, and just got to make sure oh feels same too. Keep the opinions coming they are appreciated and do help xxx hope all your searches are coming along okay too x

bump :o …

My favorite name of these is [name]Violet[/name]. Since [name]Violet[/name] ends in T and [name]Taylor[/name] begins in T, it runs together.

[name]Lily[/name] is my second favorite. It’s very common and feels incomplete. If you have other children, you may want to give a longer name and that could seem strange next to four letter [name]Lily[/name]. [name]Just[/name] something to keep in mind.

[name]Cadence[/name]. I’ve never seen it in the real world. I’ve only heard of it on nameberry. [name]Will[/name] probably be misspelled and mispronounced.

[name]Rayne[/name]. I would go with the sleeker and less trendy appearing [name]Reine[/name]. [name]Reine[/name] seems royal and dignified will [name]Rayne[/name] doesn’t to me.

I can assure there is going to be no-one in her life with the name [name]Rayne[/name]. The spelling is not trendy here nor ever used, if it has been used in the uk it will be very rare occasion. And highly doubtful she would ever ever meet them, let alone be considered trendy. [name]Rayne[/name] is a mixture of my brothers names , and a place in scotland called rayne, my oh has scottish roots so it of importance and significance, and not a trend or anyway common here. [name]Reine[/name] to me, is okay and all but it reminds me of reindeer and more of the french spelling variation, more trying to impose the royal imprint as you state. I don’t really want my daughter to be imposing, or claim royalty in the sense of seeming conceited, i like [name]Rayne[/name] for it’s sentimental values, and humblesness, also that it refers to the meaning ‘song’ and ’ mighty’ and ‘strong counsel’ as well as just queen. It is just personal preference i should think  And [name]Lily[/name] goes great with her sister [name]Lacey[/name] and brother peter. My partners children. If i had a son in the future I would want [name]Jacob[/name] or [name]Elijah[/name] so i am not worried on name length. And think [name]Lily[/name] is just fine. But thankyou

Definitely go with your heart/gut instinct but I do know an 8 year old [name]Cadence[/name] in my son’s class. I hadn’t heard of the name before hand, but there is no confusion on spelling or pronunciation and it suits her very well as a little girl  hope that adds something for you.

if you are in england then yes that is good brooke

[name]Lily[/name] [name]Rayne[/name] is adorable! I say if you love it that much and it feels that right, popularity shouldn’t matter.

I really like [name]Violet[/name] or [name]Lily[/name], I’m not that big a fan of [name]Cadence[/name].

Go with your heart, Mama. It sounds like her name is [name]Lily[/name] [name]Rayne[/name] <3
