So this is how it works. I will say a name (E.g Luna) I will say a pro (E.g it sounds magical) and then the next person will say a con and then say their own name choice with a pro and the next person will do a con for than name etc etc etc
I will start:
I like the name Willow because it is very timeless and I like the nature vibe. (Next person) I dislike the name Willow because ________________ I like the name ________________ because it is ___________________
i dislike the name willow, because it feels a little overdone- it’s almost lost it’s sparkle, imo. i like the name fiona, because everyone has heard it, but it’s still quite rare. it also feels whimsical and magical to me!
I dislike the name [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] because I just picture the ogre from Shrek and, while I do love that movie, I don’t know that I’d love to name my baby girl after a famous ogre. I like the name [name_u]Clove[/name_u] because of it’s connection to baking and the O sound in it sounds very pleasing to me.
I dislike the name [name_u]Clove[/name_u] because it makes me think of the mean character from the hunger games, and it would be hard to find a middle name for (I’m really reaching here, clove is on my own personal list ) I like the name [name_f]Joplin[/name_f] because I think it’s really fun to say and it’s pretty uncommon!
I dislike the name [name_f]Joplin[/name_f] because [name_f]Josslyn[/name_f] is so much better.
I like the name [name_f]Andora[/name_f] because it sounds so royal and it just makes me think of castles and queens and princesses. It also has the name [name_u]Anne[/name_u] it which is beautiful and classic.
I dislike the name [name_f]Andora[/name_f] because it reminds me of the shop pandora and I don’t like the feel of it and it sounds a bit stiff and I can’t imagine calling my child [name_f]Andora[/name_f]
I like the name [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] because there is lots of nicknames to it and It has a nice sound to it
I, too, like the name Phoebe, because it is a classic, literary name. It’s spunky and bright, and it looks very cool too!
I also love the name Josephine. It’s pretty, whimsical, literary, and long, but can be shortened to the spunkiest firecracker of a nickname ever: Jo!
I dislike the name [name_u]Kai[/name_u] because I prefer the spelling [name_u]Kaj[/name_u] which is the way to spell it in my country (really reaching here, I know)
I like the name [name_f]Isla[/name_f] because it’s short and sweet but still a name that will fit an adult. I like musical way it sounds.
I dislike the name vesper because it sounds quite evil like a disney villan and is not very easy to shorten I much prefer [name_u]Jasper[/name_u] (I actually think this is a pretty cool name, never heard of it before)
I like the name [name_u]Dara[/name_u] because it is alternative to [name_f]Dora[/name_f] which reminds me of the childrens tv program and it is subject to teasing, and I think dara is quite short, snappy and multicultural
I dislike the name [name_u]Dara[/name_u] because I much prefer the sweet literary [name_f]Dora[/name_f] or the charming [name_u]Dana[/name_u] and because I feel like it would could get mispronounced.
I like the name [name_m]Rafael[/name_m] for it’s grandeur and elegance yet friendly feel
I dislike the name [name_u]Karma[/name_u] because of the connotations with Karma’s a b*tch (I do actually like the sound of the name but wouldn’t use it for fear of my child being teased).
I like the name [name_f]Evie[/name_f] because it is short and sweet with a cute -ie ending. It is also the name of a friend that moved away and my cousin’s middle name is [name_f]Eve[/name_f]. Although it is supposedly popular in [name_f]England[/name_f] (where I’m from), I’ve only ever met two Evie’s (and no other versions eg [name_f]Eve[/name_f], [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], Evelina).
I sort of dislike the name [name_f]Evie[/name_f] because it sounds more like a nickname to me. But it’s pretty and I do love it as a nickname for [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], [name_f]Evanna[/name_f], or even a longer “nickname” for [name_f]Eva[/name_f].
I like the name [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] because it sounds regal and is the name of one of my favorite TV characters, I also like long names for girls with traditionally male nicknames.
