My wife and I are expecting a new, first baby. We don’t know the gender. We are torn on names I’m a bit more traditional and my wife is picky but more open to any names if it sounds “Right” to her. We place a lot of importance on the full name first middle last and how it flows. I am a hunter and fisherman and we both enjoy the outdoors! We like strong masculine boy names and dainty petite pretty girl names.
Our last name is Choate pronounced “cho-t” like a soft “t” not like when you say the alphabet (like the ending when you say “about”) I am probably explaining that wrong so hopefully you get the point. I’m no [name_f]English[/name_f] major.
Anyway… here’s our current favorites and help on other names that could fit would be so helpful so we have options!

I love [name_m]Roman[/name_m] [name_m]Jacob[/name_m], but [name_u]Elias[/name_u] [name_m]Dempsey[/name_m] is stunning. I love [name_m]Dempsey[/name_m] as a middle! Such a stark, modern contrast to [name_u]Elias[/name_u]. You could even call him [name_u]Eli[/name_u] as a nickname if you wanted.
As for a girl, I think [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] Choate or [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] work really well actually. [name_f]Ruthie[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] would be particularly cute, though I like [name_f]Ruthie[/name_f] no matter what. So sweet! [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] [name_f]Leah[/name_f] Choate could work well too and give a little more dimensional to [name_u]Lee[/name_u]/Leigh.
I really like the combos of [name_u]Elias[/name_u] [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] or [name_m]Roman[/name_m] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] for you and [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] [name_f]Lori[/name_f] or [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u].

For a girl can I suggest [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f]? It honors [name_f]Lori[/name_f] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] and I think it is beautiful. I especially like [name_f]Raina[/name_f] [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f]! [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] or [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] [name_m]Dempsey[/name_m] are very sweet and cute.
The confidence boost and response to [name_u]Elias[/name_u] [name_m]Dempsey[/name_m] was amazing. I knew I always liked it but with that kind of response it’s jumping off the page a little more at us.
As for the Girl names we will see! I love [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] but my wife loves [name_m]Gilmore[/name_m] girls and can’t bare to name a kid after a tv show even if its not the reason. We will keep hunting. [name_u]Baby[/name_u]’s still waiting!
