Name Help Desperately Needed-El names

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] Berries,

A good friend of mine is expecting a baby girl in a matter of days. The couple has an older daughter named [name_f]Lyla[/name_f] and their last name is [name_m]Bank[/name_m]. They are drawn to names that begin with the letters “[name_f]El[/name_f]” but are open to all suggestions. So far, two names they are contemplating include:

[name_u]Elia[/name_u]
[name_u]Sasha[/name_u]

Any feedback on these names are appreciated and any new name ideas welcome! Thanks!

My name is [name_f]Elisa[/name_f]. That fits your criteria…

[name_f]Eliora[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliana[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliane[/name_f]
[name_f]Ella[/name_f]
[name_f]Elle[/name_f]
[name_f]Elena[/name_f]

[name_f]Ella[/name_f]
[name_f]Ellia[/name_f]
[name_f]Elliana[/name_f]
[name_f]Elisia[/name_f]
[name_f]Elicia[/name_f]
Elowyn
[name_f]Ellie[/name_f]
[name_f]Elena[/name_f]
[name_f]Elina[/name_f]
[name_f]Elin[/name_f]
[name_f]Elvira[/name_f]
[name_f]Elspeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
[name_f]Elma[/name_f]
[name_f]Elva[/name_f]
[name_f]Elsa[/name_f]
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f]

My faves with [name_f]Lyla[/name_f]:
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f], [name_f]Ella[/name_f], [name_f]Ellie[/name_f].

[name_f]Lyla[/name_f] is very youthful, and so are [name_f]Elsie[/name_f], [name_f]Ella[/name_f], and [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]; I think they compliment [name_f]Lyla[/name_f] well.

[name_f]Eliana[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], [name_f]Elise[/name_f], [name_u]Ellison[/name_u], [name_u]Ellis[/name_u], [name_u]Elliott[/name_u], [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] (my mums name its said [name_f]Els[/name_f]-peth) or [name_f]Eleni[/name_f] maybe.

Sorry for any repeats.

I recently encountered the name Elishiann. Not sure of the pronunciation.

[name_f]Ellisif[/name_f], Scandinavian name.

I recently saw the name [name_f]Eliska[/name_f], which I really like.

Ooh yes, [name_f]Eliska[/name_f] is awesome!

Otherwise, my favourite [name_f]El[/name_f]- name is [name_f]Elena[/name_f]. So classy.

[name_f]Elena[/name_f] is my favourite “[name_f]El[/name_f]” name too.

[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f]/[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] (I prefer the “S” spelling.), [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] or [name_f]Elisa[/name_f]?

My daughter is [name_u]Ellison[/name_u] so obviously that’s my favorite! Everyone who hears her name compliments us on it and someone my dad works with used it for his daughter after hearing it from my dad. We love it! We call her Ells or [name_f]Ell[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u], sometimes [name_f]Elli[/name_f], as nicknames.

I really love [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_f]Eloise[/name_f]. But my favorite [name_f]EL[/name_f] name is [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]/[name_f]Elinor[/name_f]. So classic.

Another vote for [name_f]Eliska[/name_f] or [name_f]Elena[/name_f]! [name_m]Both[/name_m] lend themselves to the nickname [name_u]Elia[/name_u], which is what she’s contemplating anyway.

[name_f]Elodie[/name_f] is the only one I can think of that hasn’t already been mentioned. [name_f]Lyla[/name_f] and [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] would be a gorgeous sibset.

Ellyanna (multiple spellings for that I’m sure)
[name_f]Elayna[/name_f] (not sure if that was already suggested)
[name_f]Elvira[/name_f]

There’s not a ton of “[name_f]El[/name_f]” names.

My own name is [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], but I’ve gone by [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] since I was a baby. I’ve also been called [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] [name_u]Jo[/name_u] (my middle name is [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]) and Elliebeth.

Was looking at my beloved [name_m]French[/name_m] girls’ names list and saw these

[name_f]Eléonore[/name_f]
[name_f]Elnora[/name_f]
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f]
[name_f]Elvire[/name_f]
[name_f]Elaina[/name_f]
[name_f]Elaine[/name_f]
[name_f]Elita[/name_f]
[name_f]Elishia[/name_f]

Plus I thought of [name_f]Elinor[/name_f] (the Sense and Sensibility spelling) and [name_f]Eleonora[/name_f] (the [name_m]German[/name_m] variant).

However my favourite is [name_f]Eliska[/name_f] from my previous post.
