My don’t know the gender of my baby (due in Feb) and I have a boy name picked out, but I’m stuck on girl names! I have 3 that my husband and I agree on but I’m worried they’re going to sound out of place since my oldest has such a common name, [name_m]Richard[/name_m] ([name_u]Ricky[/name_u]). The top 3 contenders are:
No, not at all. All three names have a long history of use - no matter that they’re also quite popular now. I think [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] or [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] sound particularly lovely with [name_m]Richard[/name_m]/[name_u]Ricky[/name_u].
They’re all lovely! I see [name_m]Richard[/name_m] as more of a classic, and [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f], [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f], and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] are timeless to me, so they all fit together really well. Since [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] is my favorite girls’ name, I’m obviously biased in favor of that ([name_m]Richard[/name_m] and [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] are so cute together!), but [name_m]Richard[/name_m] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is probably my second choice. I also love [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] and [name_m]Richard[/name_m], though, too!
