[name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I are considering naming our first daughter Remy/i. [name_f]My[/name_f] sister’s name is [name_f]Emily[/name_f]. We call her [name_f]Em[/name_f] as a nickname and she’s mentioned a few times that if we call the baby [name_m]Rem[/name_m] for short it’ll be really similar to her nickname. I love my sister and if anything thought [name_m]Rem[/name_m] and [name_f]Em[/name_f] would be cute as an auntie/niece duo. I don’t get the impression she’s feels the same, though she’s supportive with saying “do what you love, that’s most important”. Are [name_m]Remy[/name_m] and [name_f]Emily[/name_f] more similar than I thought? It hadn’t crossed my mind that it would be stepping on her toes. Pregnancy hormones are causing me to overthink
