I’m expecting baby no 3, a girl. She will have two older sisters, [name_f]Anna[/name_f] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f]. [name_f]Anna[/name_f] was easy to name, [name_f]Margot[/name_f] harder (but an honor name) and this one is proving impossible.
We want something classic, ideally two syllables and not easily shortened/nickname-able. My DH doesn’t like anything “trendy” (whatever that means!). I’d like to avoid anything too matchy with either [name_f]Anna[/name_f] or [name_f]Margot[/name_f].
On our short list last time were [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Alice[/name_f] but neither feel quite right this time round. [name_f]Elise[/name_f]/[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] would have worked for both of us but there’s already a baby [name_f]Elise[/name_f] in the family. My husband has [name_m]French[/name_m] relatives so it needs to work in [name_m]French[/name_m] too… Thoughts?!
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] is a very classic name in my opinion and sounds good with [name_f]Anna[/name_f] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f] as a sister’s name. Names such as [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] or [name_f]Marie[/name_f] work perfectly in [name_m]French[/name_m] since they’re originally [name_m]French[/name_m] haha. The first name that came to my mind and that would suit [name_f]Anna[/name_f] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f] was [name_f]Nora[/name_f], but that might be considered trendy by your DH.
Repeating names from above, but I think [name_f]Cora[/name_f], [name_f]Clara[/name_f], or [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] would be wonderful with [name_f]Anna[/name_f] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f]!
