We are currently expecting our first girl and need some help with her name. We’ve long loved [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] and [name_f]Cassiopeia[/name_f] with our son ([name_m]Nicodemus[/name_m]) and now we can’t choose between the two.
Which do you prefer? Or any other name suggestions? We like elaborate names, our only caveat is that it needs to have a nickname that can work in [name_m]German[/name_m]!
This is nearly impossible for me, I really like both names. On one hand, I think I slightly prefer [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f], but I also think [name_f]Cassiopeia[/name_f] sounds a little better with [name_m]Nicodemus[/name_m] (which is amazing, by the way!). Either way, I don’t think you can go wrong.
Seraphina is gorgeous, and I love it with [name_m]Nicodemus[/name_m]! [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] and [name_f]Cassiopeia[/name_f] also make me think of:
Both are so beautiful! I slightly prefer [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f], I think it’s strong and sweet, and matches really nicely with [name_m]Nicodemus[/name_m]. You can’t go wrong with either though!!
I think it goes better with [name_m]Nicodemus[/name_m] actually, because the two names have a similar flair but still feel distinct from each other. And they aren’t such a clunky mouthful when said together.
Cassiopeia is a stunning name, but you are absolutely going to run into pronunciation and spelling issues nearly constantly. As someone who changed their name because this was a constant frustration for me, I can’t cast my vote for this one
There’s also so much gorgeous nickname potential for [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] and I adore the angelic association!
