Name help?

We are still trying to decide on a name for our daughter. Our list is down to three but we’re also torn on her middle name. Our boys are Sebastian Gr3g0r!o and Leonardo N!ch0las, and we’ve always said that our first girl would have the middle name Bruna, after my husband’s mother. The issue is, this is most likely going to be our last pregnancy and we don’t want to leave out my mother if that is the case, but we do have concerns that all our favorite first names are too long with Bruna Marie as the middles. What are your opinions on this?

  • Angelica Bruna
  • Angelica Bruna Marie
  • Valentina Bruna
  • Valentina Bruna Marie
  • Francesca Bruna
  • Francesca Bruna Marie

I really like the idea of using both your mother and your husbands mother’s names as middle names.
You could also find a first name that honours your mother and have [name_f]Bruna[/name_f] in the middle spot, example
[name_f]Marielle[/name_f] [name_f]Bruna[/name_f]
[name_f]Marilyn[/name_f] [name_f]Bruna[/name_f]
[name_f]Mirabelle[/name_f] [name_f]Bruna[/name_f]
[name_u]Maria[/name_u] [name_f]Bruna[/name_f]
[name_f]Marianne[/name_f] [name_f]Bruna[/name_f]

I like [name_f]Angelica[/name_f] [name_f]Bruna[/name_f] [name_u]Marie[/name_u] the best out of your list it’s very sweet!

I voted for [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] [name_f]Bruna[/name_f] [name_u]Marie[/name_u] and [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] [name_f]Bruna[/name_f] [name_u]Marie[/name_u]. I’m a bit partial to [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] just because it’s a softer name than [name_f]Valentina[/name_f], and matches the softness of [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] and [name_m]Leonardo[/name_m]!

Comparing it with your boys’ middle names, I think [name_f]Bruna[/name_f] [name_u]Marie[/name_u] is just fine and relatively not long. (Totally random suggestion, maybe hyphenate the middle to Bruna-Marie so it’s considered one name instead of two?)

I know syllable count wise using [name_f]Bruna[/name_f] [name_u]Marie[/name_u] is pretty much the same as our boys names, I think it’s the two separate names that’s throwing us. We do like the idea of BrunaMarie as just one name, we will have to play around with that.

I feel that honouring family trumps concerns of length of name so I hope you choose what you love the most. IMO, using both [name_f]Bruna[/name_f] and [name_u]Marie[/name_u] in the middle spot isn’t too long and in fact, is a lovely combo. You can’t go wrong with any of your first name options!

The honor names are short and the flow is fine with the first names imo. I would use both!
I’m liking [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] [name_f]Bruna[/name_f] [name_u]Marie[/name_u] or [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] [name_f]Bruna[/name_f] [name_u]Marie[/name_u].

I would make [name_f]Bruna[/name_f] and [name_u]Marie[/name_u] into one middle name—Francesca Brunamaria. That sounds really cool.

I agree with @WhiteGardenia ! I can imagine you would never regret honoring your mother, despite the length. I also love one middle name, but the combination of [name_f]Bruna[/name_f] [name_u]Marie[/name_u] is incredibly lovely. I suggest using both! [name_f]My[/name_f] favorite is Valentina-swoon! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

[name_f]Francesca[/name_f] [name_f]Bruna[/name_f] [name_u]Marie[/name_u] is gorgeous!

I love your first name choices! They all sound amazing with [name_f]Bruna[/name_f] [name_u]Marie[/name_u]. I’m so happy to see [name_f]Angelica[/name_f] on your list. It’s such an underrated name. So sweet, calm and elegant! [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] and [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] are so romantic and magical too!
