Here is the picture I came up with. I’m worried that it’s too easy, but I don’t know if I’m just thinking that because I know the answer. I want it to be difficult to guess but not impossible, if that makes sense. If someone sent you this, would you be able to work out what the name (first and middle) is?
Nope, at first glance all I can see is [name_m]Luke[/name_m] and I can’t make sense of the other letters. I’ll have to think some more.
Are the images specific clues or is it just the letters board?

I would have no idea - I’d be thinking maps, journeys, travel, light, guide , lightning.

I tried to edit and say that the letters do include our last name as well so there will be some left over, but apparently the edit didn’t save
All of the items are a clue!
at first i thought atlas lux, but then with the letters maybe odyssey lux or lux odyssey?

Now since a couple people have gotten it pretty quickly I’m wondering if it is too easy. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think the average person would get this, or is everyone here just at an advantage because of being name nerds and thinking more out of the box with names?

I am absolutely totally lost, I think the [name_m]Mario[/name_m] cart guy and the [name_m]Jeffrey[/name_m] Eugenides book are throwing me off, nothing I can think of is remotely tied to those. I also had to look at the comments to see any names other than [name_m]Leonard[/name_m] in the box even though the A was visibly crossed out, so I might just be bad at this kind of thing. I think this is a really cute idea, though, and definitely not too easy, as I am both intrigued and stumped.

Well I was thoroughly confused so I definitely don’t think it’s too easy! 
I thought Atlas, but the A and T were crossed out. I had to read the comments to know. But I don’t think non-namenerds would know that Lux means light… and I do know there are odyssey references with Mario and I think maybe golf clubs (?) , but I definitely didn’t associate those two things until after reading the comments and really thinking about it. So I would say don’t worry about it being too easy.

I think anyone with some education, or maybe a [name_u]Christian[/name_u] background would know it (I’m not religious but I still know Fiat Lux), you don’t have to be into names
I got to [name_u]Odyssey[/name_u] [name_u]Lux[/name_u] but still had K and N I didn’t know what to do with

I was getting [name_u]Lux[/name_u] from the Eugenides book that contains a character by that name, and by the fact that the available letters could spell that…maybe would have gotten to [name_u]Odyssey[/name_u] eventually but it wasn’t immediately obvious!

I was really hesitant about including the book because even if you’re not familiar with it, as soon as you Google it the name [name_u]Lux[/name_u] comes up since it’s the main character. So I’m nervous that will give it away for a lot of people, but I decided to include it simply because it was one of my favorite books/movies and was the reason I originally fell in love with the name [name_u]Lux[/name_u] and I’m just so excited to be using it for my real child now after loving the name for like 15 years so I just wanted to include it because it was special to me. But I do think most people will Google it and get [name_u]Lux[/name_u] from it.

i could see it reasonably quickly but that’s 100% because i’ve already seen you discuss options on the forum, so recognised the combo. if i wasn’t into names - or even probably if i were but hadn’t seen anything from you before - i would never have thought of it.
