Updated October 25:
She’s here! I took the top-ranking Post-It Notes from my husband’s last turn and stuffed them into the hospital bag on the way out the door. The top individual names left were Georgia and Constance, and the top combos were Georgia Nivika Rose (prn NIV-ih-kuh), Georgia Andromeda Lucy, and Georgia Constance Rose.
After she arrived, it didn’t take long to decide on Georgia, and then we settled on the middle names. We discussed a few options still at home, but it was really down to the final combos on the cards. Georgia Nivika Rose won as the name that seemed most fitting for our little girl.
Constance ended up losing out in the end because I decided that the combo Georgia Constance reminded me too much of George Costanza from Seinfeld, and the flow was off if we put Rose or Nivika as the first middle with Constance at the end. Also, we wanted to keep the second-middle spot open to throw in the Doctor Who nod for the big brothers. (Their faces were PRICELESS when they found out we had included the Doctor Who name in the combo! Just priceless!).
It was really the journey for us this time, but my husband and I agree that it really required “the journey” to get us to come around to this conclusion. Truth be told, I had been pining Georgiana the whole summer so it was hard to get anything to measure up, and it took a long time for ME to compromise on Georgia (interestingly, it suits her so well, I wonder if I would have changed her name to Georgia anyway, even if Georgiana had been approved). My husband took a long time to come around to Georgia because he had only met one person with the name and he thought it was this super-rare and unheard-of name. He felt a lot better about it when I told him it was a Top 250 name ranking lower than D a i s y and higher than E v e on the charts (see how much it’s really about how much he has HEARD the name before! Georgia, Constance and Andromeda were the final three and Georgia was the name he was concerned about being too unusual!). At the same time, if I hadn’t been madly searching and leaving no-stone-unturned, I might never have discovered Nivika. I’m pretty happy with this one as the third-generation update of Niki and Nicole. Nivika isn’t etymologically related to the Nicole variants, but it’s a Norse name, which connects to our family heritage.
Thanks for all the input and discussion over the long journey!

I can’t figure out how to make that image show up as an image instead of just a link… but it’s the Bathroom Mirror Post-It-Notes Name Game! My husband said, “Oh, I see how you get me to play… make it a game, huh?” He’s a mad gamer, so yeah. It’s just a pity that it took me until the end of pregnancy #6 to think of this!
The smaller notes have individual names and the larger notes have combos. There is a “discard pile” at the bottom of the mirror. If a name gets put there, the other parent can still move it back on the list but it gets an “X” strike marked on it.
Current standings:
Georgia
Constance
Andromeda
Iolanthe
Rowenna
I’m pretty excited that my husband moved Georgia up to first place - and it has been there for two days! Working on hammering out a great combo for that one. He really wants Rose as the second middle and one of our long-running favorites for the first middle. At the moment, his favorite ideas are Georgia Nivika Rose, and Georgia Constance Nivika Rose.
Squee! I wanted Georgiana at the beginning so I’ll be pretty happy if we can compromise on Georgia.
