Hello all! [name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I are expecting our second daughter on [name_u]Christmas[/name_u]! I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on names? Our first daughter’s name is [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f], and though I’m not set on “matching” names, I’d love for them to sound great/flow well together since they will be close in age and I’ll be saying their names together a lot! I love classic names, but am also open to something unique. I’m open to [name_u]Christmas[/name_u]-y names, and middle name suggestions are welcome too!
What about [name_f]Maeve[/name_f], [name_f]Opal[/name_f], [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] or [name_f]Harriet[/name_f]?
Congrats to you and welcome to Nameberry! Here are are a few suggestions for [name_f]Clara[/name_f]'s future sister.

[name_f]Holly[/name_f] is my favourite. I think [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_f]Holly[/name_f] are complimentary without being matchy.
I really like [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_f]Holly[/name_f]. I know a [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f].

[name_f]Naomi[/name_f]
[name_f]Leah[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] and…
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] - short and traditional, like [name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] - again, a stylish classic
[name_f]Bianca[/name_f] - I think this is a little unusual, just thought it might sound nice with [name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] - a more stylish version of the [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] [name_f]Carol[/name_f]
[name_f]Danica[/name_f] - means “morning star”, I think star imagery is very [name_u]Christmas[/name_u]-y
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] - pretty and traditional, but not over-used
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] - I like this with [name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Holly[/name_f] - for obvious reasons!
[name_f]Isla[/name_f] - Again, I think it goes nicely with [name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] - I like the “a”-endings together!
[name_f]Miriam[/name_f] - One of my favourite names, I think it’s under-used!
[name_f]Natasha[/name_f] - meaning “born on [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] day”
[name_f]Noelle[/name_f] - obviously a [name_u]Christmas[/name_u]-y name!
[name_f]Olivia[/name_f] - I think this is the same type of name as [name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] ([name_u]Penny[/name_u]) - I think [name_u]Penny[/name_u] sounds nice with [name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosie[/name_f] - this makes me think of a red rose, which could be [name_u]Christmas[/name_u]-y
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] - again, the red colour is festive
[name_f]Scarlet[/name_f] - same as [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]
[name_u]Vesper[/name_u] - this means “evening star” so similar to [name_f]Danica[/name_f]!
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] you like some of these names and congrats on your wonderful news!

[name_f]Clara[/name_f] is the girl in The Nutcracker. She is sometimes called [name_f]Marie[/name_f] instead, so that would be a pretty cool choice.

Because your first daughter’s name almost falls into the [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] theme as well ([name_f]Clara[/name_f] from the Nutcracker), I would definitely add some [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] inspiration into your DD #2’s name.
