Name Ideas for Novel

[name_m]Hi[/name_m], Guys/gals,
I’m plotting out a novel at the moment and was trying to find some good names for the main characters.
The story is set around WWII- Australia

Girl 16- 17
Appearance~ [name_m]Light[/name_m] auburn hair, green eyes with amber specks, elegant appearance, tall, slender.
Personality~ Adaptable, hint of enigma/ mystery, trusting, optimistic, loving, chatty, friendly, witty and charming, intelligent, musical, dreamer, always striving for personal perfection. Dads a high- up soldier named [name_u]Maurice[/name_u].

My name ideas- [name_f]Florence[/name_f], [name_f]Lynette[/name_f], [name_m]Clarence[/name_m], [name_f]Philomena[/name_f]. What do you think? Please more names

Boy 19-20
Appearance~ [name_f]Strawberry[/name_f] blond hair, brown/ amberish eyes, bit taller than average, well- built.
Personality~ To begin with, genuine, serious, funny, talkative (to main char), conservative, intelligent, witty. Later on, serious, reserved, cut-off, withdrawn, brief towards all. Valid information, was student becoming teacher, then soldier. Scottish/ Irish heritage.

My name ideas- [name_m]Phillip[/name_m], [name_m]George[/name_m]. What do you think? Please more names

Best you post in the writers forum as sometimes book threads are removed/moved from the regular ones.
I think [name_f]Florence[/name_f] is a lovely name and was actually quite popular around 1920, I don’t think [name_f]Lynette[/name_f] or [name_f]Philomena[/name_f] were popular choices back then and [name_m]Clarence[/name_m] would have been used for boys.

I think both boys name make a lot of sense and other classic names! [name_m]Peter[/name_m], [name_m]John[/name_m], [name_m]Jack[/name_m], [name_m]Frederick[/name_m], [name_m]Arthur[/name_m],… would also fit.

Thank-you OpheliaFlora for the suggestions and feedback, I’ll be sure to use the writers forum next time :stuck_out_tongue:

I think [name_m]George[/name_m] and [name_f]Florence[/name_f] could work, as well as [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] and [name_m]Sean[/name_m]. Or [name_f]Victoria[/name_f]/[name_m]George[/name_m] and [name_m]Sean[/name_m]/[name_f]Florence[/name_f].
