Name ideas for surprise Baby 6

We thought we were done having kids, but God seems to have gone with a different plan! Now we need help browsing for names. Our children have pretty old-fashioned names: [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], [name_f]Philomena[/name_f] and [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f], so we’re looking for names in a similar vein.

Some names we already like are [name_m]Eugene[/name_m], [name_m]Julian[/name_m], [name_u]Wallace[/name_u], [name_u]August[/name_u], [name_m]Alexander[/name_m], and [name_m]Caspar[/name_m]; [name_f]Marianne[/name_f], [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f], [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f], [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] and [name_f]Hazel[/name_f].

The middle names currently on the table: [name_u]Julie[/name_u] or [name_f]Julia[/name_f], [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], and [name_m]George[/name_m]

We would like opinions on our list and also suggestions, but please limit your suggestions to 3 names per gender (the ones you think absolutely fit).

Thank you all!

My favourites for each gender are:
[name_u]August[/name_u] [name_m]George[/name_m] and [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_u]Julie[/name_u]

I also like [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]George[/name_m], [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Julia[/name_f] and I think [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] would fit in nicely. I like the a endings on [name_f]Philomena[/name_f] and [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] and I would keep the a ending going if the baby was another girl ([name_f]Magnolia[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f], etc.) but I have to say you have a beautiful sibset, good luck!
*editing to say I think Veronica would be a lovely idea

My top boy pick from your list is [name_u]Wallace[/name_u]. Girl, [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]

[name_m]Bernard[/name_m]
[name_m]Harvey[/name_m]
[name_m]Milton[/name_m]

[name_f]Dorothea[/name_f]
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f]
[name_f]Vera[/name_f]

…or if you dont want an A ending for girl

[name_f]Constance[/name_f]
[name_f]Imogen[/name_f]
[name_f]Muriel[/name_f]

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.

You did a great job the first five times. Here are my thoughts on lists for #6:

Boys-

[name_m]Eugene[/name_m]-I don’t mind this. It’s certainly different these days. It’s very kind sounding.

[name_m]Julian[/name_m]-This is at the very top of my personal boy list as well. I love it, & it’s perfect w/your crew. Smart, handsome, masculine yet not overly macho.

[name_u]Wallace[/name_u]-I don’t know that I care for this. It reminds me of a grumpy old man. Not like a sweet old man like [name_m]Eugene[/name_m] does.

[name_u]August[/name_u]-Another awesome choice. Cute nns too if you’re into those.

[name_m]Alexander[/name_m]-I like this, & I think the style fits. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like [name_u]Alex[/name_u]? It may be hard to avoid. Seems a little bland next to your kids’ names.

[name_m]Caspar[/name_m]-Ooh, thank you for spelling it this way. So much nicer than [name_m]Casper[/name_m], in my opinion. Really cool artsy name. I like it for you.

Well, I’m no help since I mostly like them all! My favorite is [name_m]Julian[/name_m]. I would consider nns that you may like or not like just in case like [name_u]Wally[/name_u], [name_m]Augie[/name_m], [name_u]Alex[/name_u] or [name_m]Cas[/name_m].

Three suggestions:

[name_m]Alistair[/name_m]

[name_m]Barnaby[/name_m]

[name_m]Oscar[/name_m]

Girls-

[name_f]Marianne[/name_f]-I’m not sure about this one. I like [name_u]Marian[/name_u] a lot said as one flow of [name_f]Mary[/name_f]-in. This spelling I’m not sure whether to say it like that or [name_f]Mary[/name_f]-[name_f]Ann[/name_f].

[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]-I can’t get over the creepy movie here.

[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]-Beautiful! Perfect for you.

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f]-I love this one as long as you don’t mind repeating initials w/sisters. Apparently it’s sort of popular, but that may not bother you. So many cute nns too.

[name_f]Josephine[/name_f]-Another beautiful choice.

[name_f]Hazel[/name_f]-This is nice. It doesn’t seem quite as dramatic (in a good way!) as [name_f]Philomena[/name_f] & [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]. Pretty popular too.

I think I like [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] best, but [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] & [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] are also two of my favorites. Close call!

And three suggestions:

[name_f]Louisa[/name_f]

[name_f]Millicent[/name_f]

[name_f]Romilly[/name_f]

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.

All of your options are great!
I especially like [name_f]Marianne[/name_f], [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] and [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] for a girl. [name_m]Eugene[/name_m] is wonderful! I like [name_m]Julian[/name_m], [name_u]August[/name_u] and [name_u]Wallace[/name_u] as well.

One name that came to mind before reading all of your post was [name_f]Francesca[/name_f].

[name_m]Eugene[/name_m] [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] is my pick for a boy.

From the boys I like the sound of [name_u]Wallace[/name_u] or [name_m]Casper[/name_m] and for girls I like [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f].

Suggestions for boys -

[name_m]Solomon[/name_m]
[name_m]Deacon[/name_m]
[name_m]Judah[/name_m]
[name_m]Franklin[/name_m]
[name_u]Elias[/name_u]
[name_m]Maxwell[/name_m]
[name_m]Waylon[/name_m]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m]
[name_m]Harvey[/name_m]
[name_m]Davis[/name_m]
[name_m]Lincoln[/name_m]
[name_m]Jasper[/name_m]
[name_m]Heath[/name_m]
[name_m]Xavier[/name_m]

Girls -

[name_f]Mercy[/name_f]
[name_f]Freya[/name_f]
[name_f]Fiona[/name_f]
[name_f]Cassandra[/name_f]
[name_f]Liliana[/name_f]
[name_f]Cynthia[/name_f]
[name_f]Melinda[/name_f]
[name_f]Zara[/name_f]
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
[name_f]Georgina[/name_f]
[name_f]Helen[/name_f]
[name_f]Mabel[/name_f]

From your existing lists, I think [name_u]August[/name_u] and [name_m]Julian[/name_m] fit the best for boys’ names, while [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] is my favorite from your girls’. I think [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] and [name_f]Marianne[/name_f] are too common, while the rest of your children have more unusual names. [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] and [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] would make great middles, but I don’t think they fit as well stylistically with your firsts. [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] goes beautifully with your boys’ names, but seems less lyrical and feminine than [name_f]Philomena[/name_f] and [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]. I think [name_u]Wallace[/name_u] could be a stylistic match, but it doesn’t have the elegance and refinement that the rest of your sibset exudes. I removed [name_m]Caspar[/name_m], [name_m]Eugene[/name_m], and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] for the repeating initials.

My top three suggestions for each gender to go with [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], [name_f]Philomena[/name_f] and [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]:

[name_m]Lucian[/name_m]
[name_m]Ferdinand[/name_m]
[name_m]Oswald[/name_m]

[name_f]Olympia[/name_f]
[name_f]Araminta[/name_f]
[name_f]Lavinia[/name_f]

Oh what fantastic choices you have! I adore [name_m]Eugene[/name_m] and I think [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] or [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] are great fits for a girl.

suggestions wise my immediate thoughts before i finished reading your post were [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f], [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] & [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] and [name_m]Graham[/name_m], [name_m]Walter[/name_m], [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] & [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] (I know four there sorry!)

[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_u]Julie[/name_u]
[name_f]Irene[/name_f] [name_u]Julie[/name_u]
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] [name_u]Julie[/name_u]

[name_m]Dominic[/name_m] [name_m]George[/name_m]
[name_m]Benedict[/name_m] [name_m]George[/name_m]
[name_m]Basil[/name_m] [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]

My favorite of of your options are [name_m]Julian[/name_m] and [name_f]Josephine[/name_f].

[name_f]Eugenia[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]
