I am having the hardest time picking a name for my son. I am due the first week of [name_u]January[/name_u] and have gone through so many names already. My current favorite is [name_m]Iver[/name_m]. What I like about it is that it is fairly short (no more than two syllables), easy to say and spell, not common (I don’t like when the names are popular) but not something weird or abstract. I still might stick with [name_m]Iver[/name_m] but my SO doesn’t absolutely love the name, he just kind of tolerates it and my mom doesn’t like it really (she can’t ever seem to remember it). Any ideas that have the same characteristics? I would appreciate all suggestions! Thanks
I have never heard [name_m]Iver[/name_m] before. It is short and easy to say but maybe your family would like something a bit more familiar.

[name_u]Remy[/name_u]
Tadgh
My maiden name is [name_m]Iverson[/name_m], which of course comes from “son of [name_m]Iver[/name_m]” which I think sounds really Scandinavian. Similar names that come to mind are Inar, [name_m]Thor[/name_m], or [name_m]Sven[/name_m]. A few names that are short, uncommon but not cliche to me are names like [name_m]Abel[/name_m], [name_m]Amos[/name_m], [name_u]Luca[/name_u], [name_m]Isaac[/name_m], etc. Maybe this isn’t what your looking for…
[name_m]Iver[/name_m] is a great unusual name with a familiar feel.
