When you hear the name [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m], what sort of little boy do you picture? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any associations with the name? What do you think about the combo [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] [name_m]Oisin[/name_m]? I would love to hear your thoughts!
I think that [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] is really nice but I really don’t like the nn [name_u]Rafe[/name_u]. It is just too similar in sound to another word which causes a terrible connotation. [name_m]Raff[/name_m] or [name_m]Raffy[/name_m] are cute though.
[name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] makes me think of forests, puddles, long hikes and climbing trees. It’s a name full of life, bouncy and lively but it could also be serious, studious and gentle.
I’ve only met one [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] - a sweet kid who was full of energy
[name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] [name_m]Oisin[/name_m] is great btw!!
@mrsbuntain thank you! Not sure if we would use a nn but I do like [name_m]Raff[/name_m] & [name_m]Raffy[/name_m]
@greyblue, oooh, thanks!! That’s the kind of vibe I get from [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m], too. I’ve never met a [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m]!
[name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] sounds spunky, fun, smart, athletic, and easy going to me! I really like it for a little boy, and I think it will mature well, too. I only have heard of one other [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] and he was a twin to brother [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u]. I loved both the boy’s names upon hearing them!
@whatsyourname thank you for the response!!
[name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] makes me think of an energetic, witty, mischievous little boy. The nickname [name_m]Raff[/name_m] is cute! I think it would grow well into adulthood also.
Thank you, @rosejuliet!
