Name in honour of Grandmother

In honour of my grandmother I want to name a future baby girl with her name, [name]Connie[/name]. But I want a unique twist on her name, like a nickname that would be [name]Connie[/name].
(I would most likely use it for more of a MN than a FN.)
What do you think of the name [name]Connemara[/name]?
(My DH is Irish.)
Any suggestions?

[name]Connemara[/name] sounds neat, but it might be a bit hard to wear, especially since it can’t be explained as a family name. [name]Just[/name] my opinion though.

I think [name]Connelly[/name] would be a nice choice! It is also Irish, but has a more familiar sound/feel.

[name]Constance[/name] is another option.

Hrm, I can think of more options for boys ([name]Conrad[/name], [name]Constantine[/name], [name]Connor[/name], etc.) than girls ([name]Constantina[/name], maybe?). [name]Connemara[/name] is interesting, and I like the tie to your SO’s Irish roots, but I think some might have a hard time saying it? I’m assuming it’s con-eh-[name]MAR[/name]-ah, but I could be wrong? I think you could probably do [name]Cornelia[/name] nn [name]Connie[/name], although that’s a bit of a stretch…
