Name Inspiration from Old Movies

Hey all,
[name]Just[/name] watched A Gentlemen’s Agreement last night, and noticed some pretty fun names in the credits! Didn’t particularly notice in the movie itself, but here’s some of the actors and others:

[name]Celeste[/name] Holm
[name]Anne[/name] Revere
[name]June[/name] Havoc (Yes, this is a made up name–originally her name was [name]Ellen[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name] Hovick, which is also fun.)
[name]Jane[/name] [name]Wyatt[/name]
[name]Moss[/name] [name]Hart[/name] (sounds made up, but didn’t find any mention of another name on a quick search.)
[name]Elia[/name] Kazan
[name]Dorothy[/name] [name]McGuire[/name]

also, [name]Gregory[/name] Peck’s whole name is [name]Eldred[/name] [name]Gregory[/name] Peck!

#1 name out of all is definitely [name]June[/name] Havoc. GP maybe, but awesome. [name]Anne[/name] Revere is also a great combo (and real) and [name]Celeste[/name] Holm is very lovely.

Anyone else have some name inspiration from old movies, actor/actresses’ made up names, etc?

Yes! I first fell in love with the name [name]Lorelei[/name] after watching Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, [name]Anya[/name] from [name]Roman[/name] [name]Holiday[/name], and ([name]Bing[/name]) [name]Crosby[/name] from White [name]Christmas[/name].

I was just thinking this morning about The [name]Philadelphia[/name] [name]Story[/name], how the brother’s name is [name]Junius[/name], and I’ve never heard that name anywhere else. Other character names in that movie: [name]Tracy[/name] (mn [name]Samantha[/name]), [name]Dinah[/name], [name]Liz[/name] ([name]Elizabeth[/name]), [name]Macauley[/name], CK [name]Dexter[/name], [name]George[/name], [name]Mac[/name], [name]Willie[/name], [name]Sidney[/name], [name]Seth[/name], [name]Margaret[/name], [name]Edward[/name], [name]Thomas[/name]
