[name_m]New[/name_m] names on my girls list that I’m considering.
[name_f]Noelani[/name_f] - love the meaning, something off in the sound
[name_f]Destiny[/name_f] - not really new, but I do like the meaning
[name_f]Poem[/name_f] - not a fan of [name_u]Poet[/name_u], [name_f]Poem[/name_f] on the other hand I love
Gersemi - means treasure in Old Norse and it’s Norse mythological name
[name_f]Valentina[/name_f] - I know a [name_f]Valentina[/name_f], it’s not a deal breaker for me, though
[name_f]Heidi[/name_f] - love literature connection, but much prefer [name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Harriet[/name_f] - use to think this is very masculine sounding traditionally girls name - I feel like hypocrite just liking the name now
Ceilidh & [name_f]Eilidh[/name_f] so not usable here and Anglician form would be weird here, since I’m not in Anglophone country
[name_f]Katherine[/name_f] - supper common for me, but maybe more usable? Not liking [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]
What is your stance on this list? Kind of expecting new suggestions…
I’m good with [name_f]Valentina[/name_f]…the others, not so much.
[name_f]Noelani[/name_f] looks like a made-up name.
[name_f]Destiny[/name_f] & [name_f]Poem[/name_f] - I think noun names are silly, with very few exceptions. These aren’t exceptions, especially [name_f]Poem[/name_f].
[name_f]Heidi[/name_f] - it’s cutesy, but seems so little-girlish. I know a few grown-up [name_f]Heidi[/name_f]'s and their names do not fit them at all.
[name_f]Harriet[/name_f] - not a fan
Ceilidh & [name_f]Eilidh[/name_f] - I don’t even know how to pronounce these names
[name_f]Katherine[/name_f] - pretty, but I prefer [name_f]Catherine[/name_f].
I really like most of the names on this list. [name_f]Katherine[/name_f], [name_f]Valentina[/name_f], [name_f]Harriet[/name_f], and [name_f]Heidi[/name_f] all have a very soft vintage feel to them. [name_f]Poem[/name_f], [name_f]Destiny[/name_f], and [name_f]Noelani[/name_f] feel new and spunky. Gersemi, while having a nice meaning, feels clunky to me. Ceilidh and [name_f]Eilidh[/name_f] would be confusing for most people (but both are pretty names besides).
susette, thank you for brutal opinion, RL opinions are much needed
greeneyes, thank you for honest and soft feedback…
I like from your suggestion:
[name_f]Noemi[/name_f], Natsumi, [name_f]Sonnet[/name_f], [name_f]Anoushka[/name_f], [name_f]Lyra[/name_f], [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
I would look for more info on Natsumi, it’s lovely.
The only wearable names i see on your list are [name_f]Katherine[/name_f], [name_f]Valentina[/name_f], [name_f]Alice[/name_f], and [name_f]Heidi[/name_f].
[name_f]Noelani[/name_f],Ceilidh, [name_f]Eilidh[/name_f]- I feel as though these names make you look like your trying to hard. I think you spend a lot of time explaining your poor kids name.
[name_f]Destiny[/name_f] ,[name_f]Poem[/name_f] - I’m sorry these types of names are quite adult film/exotic stage name.
Gersemi - I’m pretty sure they might sell a cream to remedy that
