Namers, please help! My last name sounds like Garris and I am looking for what YOU think works best in the first name spot if I am going to use [name]Patricia[/name] in the middle. [name]Patricia[/name] is an important family name. I’m wondering what first name would you give a baby named _______ [name]Patricia[/name] Garris. What’s your personal opinion of [name]Patricia[/name]? [name]Feel[/name] free to suggest more than one, I just want to know what you guys think works in this scenario. Thanks.
Oh goodness…there are so many that could work! [name]Do[/name] you have a particular style? Can you give us some names that you like?
Almost anything could work, but I’m thinking a two or more syllable first name that doesn’t end an A may be ideal.
Like, [name]Catherine[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] Garris, [name]Violet[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] Garris, [name]Lauren[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] Garris.
Really I’m just focusing on flow though since I don’t know what style you like.
Flow is important. I’m a namenerd like all of you so I like a little of everything. I think I have heard [name]Patricia[/name] so much in my life I want a fresh perspective on what works with it. Does that make sense? I kind of want to know what you would come up with if I was knocked out and they were like “Quick! Name her baby!”
[name]How[/name] about…
[name]Natalie[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Eve[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Annabel[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
– [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
Maybe something with 1 syllable?
[name]June[/name]
[name]Sage[/name]
[name]Jane[/name]
[name]Lane[/name]
[name]Claire[/name]
[name]Bay[/name]
[name]Mae[/name]
[name]Pearl[/name]
[name]Wren[/name]
[name]Quinn[/name]
[name]Gem[/name]
?
I also like… [name]Zoe[/name] [name]Patricia[/name], [name]Edie[/name] [name]Patricia[/name], [name]Winslow[/name] [name]Patricia[/name], [name]Halle[/name] [name]Patricia[/name], [name]Lily[/name] [name]Patricia[/name], [name]Romy[/name] [name]Patricia[/name], [name]Molly[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]…?
What kind of names do you like? Off the top of my head I think these work.
[name]Sarah[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Leah[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Rachel[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Lauren[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Ava[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Maisie[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Gwendolyn[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Jocelyn[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Maeve[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] Garris
[name]Blythe[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] Garris
[name]Eve[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] Garris
[name]Simone[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] Garris
[name]Faith[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] Garris
[name]Fiona[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] Garris
[name]Zoe[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] Garris
[name]Amelia[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] Garris
[name]Camille[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] Garris
[name]Lila[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] Garris
[name]Leona[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] Garris
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] Garris
[name]Noelle[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] Garris
[name]Gianna[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] Garris
[name]Camelia[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] Garris
[name]Cecelia[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] Garris
[name]Catherine[/name], [name]Sarah[/name], and [name]Lauren[/name] are all family names! Wonderful I have a BIG family, though, and it’s nice to hear which names flow nicely to your ears.
[name]Violet[/name] is a personal name love of mine but my SO has said it sounds like violent. Bummer. I like the suggestions of [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] and [name]Gwendolyn[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] the best so far. I also like [name]Molly[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] & [name]Edie[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]. [name]Winslow[/name], [name]Sage[/name], & [name]Zoe[/name] are also cool. I like [name]Pearl[/name] as a name but [name]Pearl[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] Garris sounds weird to me. [name]Leah[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] or [name]Lane[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] are pretty but would they feel plain? My SO and I both loved the name [name]Ava[/name] until we realized how popular it was.
I appreciate your suggestions! My style is probably leaning away from super traditional but I don’t want to get too crazy. I wouldn’t want the name to be unbalanced or made up. Nothing too popular but still pretty. The cadence & flow of the name is really important to me.
I like [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Patricia[/name], too. [name]Leona[/name] [name]Patricia[/name], [name]Simone[/name] [name]Patricia[/name], [name]Blythe[/name] [name]Patricia[/name], & [name]Maeve[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] all stand out from your list, judyariel.
Some of my suggestions are
[name]Saskia[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Elodie[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Amelie[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
I love [name]Saskia[/name] the best out of the three but I love the flow of [name]Amelie[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] or [name]Elodie[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] better than [name]Saskia[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]. Thanks, isabellemarie.
I was going to suggest [name]Emily[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] Garris, and I love [name]Amelie[/name] [name]Patricia[/name], also!
[name]Hazel[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Willow[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Whimsy[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Caroline[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Iris[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Rosalie[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Vivian[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Lark[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Evangeline[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Emily[/name] is another family name! Awesome I think the “lie” or “ly” ending is really complimentary with [name]Patricia[/name] Garris. Thanks for your input kyemsma, I appreciate it.
[name]Iris[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] is awesome but I dont think it flows well with Garris. [name]Iris[/name] Garris seems like too much “s”. [name]Rosalie[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] Garris is adorable! [name]Lark[/name], [name]Evangeline[/name], and [name]Hazel[/name] appeal to me, too. Thanks, edenlyla13
Well, I would stay away from anything ending in an -a or an -s sound, because things like [name]Norah[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] or as you mention [name]Iris[/name] Garris don’t flow well. I’d also stay away from most G names–[name]Grace[/name] Garris just doesn’t work.
I’d probably go with 2 syllables and something relatively classic–because something like [name]Clover[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] feels like 2 different styles rather than creativity.
[name]Adele[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] Garris
[name]Evelyn[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] Garris
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] Garris
[name]Katherine[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] Garris
[name]Molly[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] Garris
[name]Robyn[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] Garris
[name]Ruby[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] Garris - this one isn’t perfect but I had to put it because it reminds me of [name]Ruby[/name] [name]Gillis[/name] from [name]Anne[/name] of [name]Green[/name] Gables.
[name]Patricia[/name] is sweet, but I am a lover of vintage names.
[name]Julia[/name] [name]Roberts[/name] named her daughter [name]Hazel[/name] [name]Patricia[/name].
Sorry, if I repeat any, I would go with one of these:
[name]Mabel[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Tansy[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Tallulah[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Bellamy[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Cleo[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Isla[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Junia[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Tegan[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Elowen[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
Morwen [name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Maren[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
You are very welcome. [name]Emily[/name] is my daughter’s name, so I am glad you like it!

[name]Natalie[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Ottilie[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Rosalie[/name] [name]Patrica[/name]
[name]One[/name] more-- what about [name]Lily[/name] [name]Patricia[/name]?
